Barclays Bank

Just been into the branch today. It has just reopened after having been closed for several weeks for refurbishment and the new look premises are bright and attractive. Several self service machines are available but there are only two serving positions available and only one of these were manned. Barclays does not seem to understand that although self service machines do meet a need for those conducting simple deposit or withdrawal transactions, customers who use bank branches tend to do so because they have more complex needs which by definition take longer to deal with and I’m afraid that my experience today confirms this opinion. After confirming that a self service machine would not meet my needs, I waited for around 40 minutes in a queue of increasingly disenchanted customers who like me may have to give serious consideration on whether we should take our custom elsewhere.

This bank used to be great.All the counters were open with nice and friendly staff now it’s all self service with 1 counter open for business use only.The opening times are ridiculously.I work Monday to Friday.It’s closed Saturday and only open 3 days a week and shuts at 3.30 those days.How on earth am I supposed to use this bank with those days/times?????Everything is online now which really frustrates me.And no I’m not a pensioner who hates online I’m actually 40 years old but much prefers things the way they used to be.Barclays,you should be ashamed of yourself.Not everyone wants to do online banking and I’m self employed and need to pay money into my account but it’s illegal for anyone else to put money in for me so what am I supposed to do???Im changing banks

Friday I seen a car I wanted for sale... I had to withdraw the cash to buy to car because it was private and they wanted cash only, unfortunately I work so closing the bank at 3:30 made this not possible... The bank is then shut until monday but again opens after I start work and closes before I finish work and then is closed fully on tuesday.... Cars sold to someone else now so thankyou barclays that's the card going in the draw and all my money going through natwest now.

Been a cpl of times ive needed to go inside to get my rent money out and as i need more than the outside cash point limit i need to go in amd uts been shut this is very inconvenient and Im not happy about it presumably the excuse will be covid but cant kwep using that as an excuae anymore , people need to do the banking and you need to employ more staff or allow them to work if there feeling upto it WE HAVE TO LIVE WITH THIS NOW

Hardly ever open and customer service inside the branch is shocking. So unhelpful it’s unreal

I've been when it says it should be open and it isn't, might have to move banks

Closes at 3:30pm each day.. so can never use the bank if you work. What is the point, for me I am switching to a better bank that actually closes at a normal time

Opening hours are an absolute joke
