Friendly staff but can get busy. There is a self service deposit facility to speed up your visit.

I used to go there friendly staff but nowadays they are so slow you need to wait about 20-30 mins just to pay a bill. There was another lady just sitting down but she didn’t even bother to ask if you need help.

Why is The Halifax open at 10am and closed at 2pm?
The only time they’re efficient is when they’re about to close.
I’ve been dealing with my Mother’s Probate this last year and whilst The Bereavement Team, over the phone, are very knowledgeable in branch they are not. I’ve been there well past the closing time as they, well Charles, The Manager, have no idea of how to deal with payment requests (yes, they are allowed) from a frozen account. This means more time on the phone to the Bereavement Team.
I was hoping to go into the Halifax today, Good Friday, personally I’d have thought they would be closed but many banks are open. Not The Halifax, which would be ok if they were open tomorrow, Saturday, but they’re not so it will be Tuesday and the branch will have queues going down the road and no one coming out to supervise. Not everyone needs counter service.
I’ve even been ‘awarded’ £150.00 compensating for their rubbish services. I’ve not accepted it as we now have a ‘late payment fine’ from HMRC and whilst Halifax isn’t wholly to blame they have to accept they’ve played a large part.
I would like to say that JACK, when he’s there has always been very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful.
He knows a thing or two about Customer Service.
So does the charming Scottish Lady. Sorry, I don’t remember your name, but I do remember your kindness. Thank You.
