Manager is polite and attempted to be helpful to carry out my request but the other cashier had to get involved and assertivly TOLD the manager and I that my request was unable to happen with no sympathy /empathy.
Could do better and learn customer service skill and sometimes go the extra mile to be helpful.

Somewhat unprofessional today, served by guy in grey/silver suit and glasses. Usually they bring the pin machine to front desk, not ask you to enter personal details at a desk that another customer is being served at and filling out their private information with another colleague. Other desks were available, with no customers, to use. Wouldn’t mind waiting for them to set up another machine. Service was fast.

Friendly helpfully staff appears to be a bank with all monetary benefits and money management tools in place they have a change counter but it does appear to work infrequently but one advantage over all major banks they have your photo on your account to elevate fraud and you.can get a brand new debt or credit card if lost or stolen printed in store within the hour typically big brand banks take up to and over a week so they can play with your money for longer all in all a well run essentially visually equal oppertunitys employer in five years plus I have found them excellent well done metro bank happy thoughts

My Mum came in yesterday with my little sister and they opened a cashcard account for my sister. She was served by a lady called KAZ, in the ROMFORD BRANCH, who was absolutely brilliant. My Mum couldn't praise her enough. She was very informative, very helpful and spoke clearly and explained everything to my little sister who opened her first 'big girl bank account'. Thank You Metro Bank, you are fantastic, as always

Appalling customer service. Went to open an account on Dec 14th in branch and was informed they need to do additional checks and will call within 72 hours and arrange a 2nd appointment to come back into branch. It's now the 4th Jan and still no call. Guess they don't want people to bank with them.

This has got to be the worse customer service I've ever received. Metrobank as a whole customer call centre based in ilford and the Romford branch are extremely incompetent and dishonest. I applied online for a business account which was approved, however I was unable to approve the account due to an I.T issue. I called the Ilford call center who advised me to attend the Romford branch who could reset this issue from a click of a button and I would receive my bank card straightaway. ( This was a lie) I then attended the Romford branch who were unable to assist me, but they were very polite and advised me that they will need to raise a I.T request . I then called ilford customer service for an update 2 days later who asked me for the I.T ticket reference (which I was not provided in the branch) as this was essential to help me. The advisor then called the branch and and came back to me to state the branch are aware and the ticket has been raised. I asked the advisor if I could have the ticket number as it was essential as stated by herself? In which she then stated, no its not that important but you need to wait 5 working days. I then waited 5 days and made 3 x calls back to the Ilford call center to have my call cut off twice, and then told they will transfer me direct to Romford branch which was then disconnected. I wait a further 3 days, to speak to an advisor called Ali, who in my opinion was the most helpful and polite person who provided excellent customer service, he asked again for this ddI.T ticket reference as it is in fact essential,he called the Romford branch to be told that there is no record of any Ticket reference. At no point was I rude, argumentative or even difficult in the slightest, but was offered an appointment in 2 days time with a maximum 4 days for approval for a business account. I declined this, as this was for a business account, and how could I feel comfortable having any financial dealings with such dishonest and incompetent people. This has been a waste of 3 weeks, and I think that people should definitely think twice before commiting to any financial business with this bank.

Really pleasant staff in here! Very happy to help. Didn’t have to wait in the queue very long as it was quickly worked through, allowing myself and other customers to have a speedy resolution.
