Refreshing Banking Experience - Signed up with Metro just over a month ago. Very happy with everything to date, the service is excellent and the fact they are open everyday is a bonus. Moved to London from Australia recently where banks are barely open 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday.... And never open on weekends. Nice to have a bank that looks after the customer for once.

I've been being with Metro Bank for 7 years and never had any issue with them. I usually visit the Cromwell Road branch. The service is always polite and quick. I can only recommend them. Metro bank is the only bank which is open at the weekend which makes my life easier.

They will cut you a debit card while you wait...
Streamlined banking at it's best...

5 star service. They will open you an account within an hour including credit check and cutting a debit card as you wait. They did a chaps payment at 7 pm. This is an incredible banking service both personal and business.

UPDATE: 2ND TIME MY DISABILITY BENEFITS HAVE NOT BEEN PAID INTO MY ACCOUNT UNTIL MIDDAY CAUSING ME TO MISS ANOTHWE DR APPT!!! I WILL NOW BE CLOAING MY ACCOUNTS!!!!!! DO NOT BANK HERE!!!

I would give 0 stars if I could. I opened my account here the day they opened their doors and used to think they were great but WORST BANK EVER!! After reading about the trouble about the WhatsApp rumour I dont blame people for taking their money out. I have been fighting with them over a £70 disputed charge that they will not sort out and am so disgusted I have taken all my money out and after receiving a 6 figure inheritance from my mother have put the vast sum of money in Santandwr who have treated me with total respect. I would never recommend Metro Bank they charge you twice and dont give the money back no wonder their stock dropped. I hope it bottoms out and they close down. THEY ARE THE WORST BANK EVER AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY SAFE!!!!!!!ì

Don't understand the many negative reviews here. I have been a customer this branch for now 3 years. Outstanding service and very helpful, knowledgeable and professional staff. Even now during Lockdown Metro is the only bank that still opens to 6 pm. In my openion Metro has set up a new high level of service that other UK bank should admire.

I just opened a bank account at this branch today and I was very impressed by their fast and friendly service. You can get a debit card on the same day you open a bank account while you have to wait a week if you do at other banks.
The staff are nice, accommodating and explaining professionally about monthly fee, transfer fee, mobile app etc,. like everything you need to know before your opening a bank account.
They are normally open 7days from 9am to 8pm (which is now shorten to 5pm due to the lockdown). Isn't this already amazing service? I will definitely recommend this branch and this bank to whoever wants to switch or open a bank account. oh they have a fun game at the bank!

Have banked with them for 3+ years, and I've always found them easy and pleasant to deal with. Opening an account with other banks was a ridiculous maze of pointless forms, but MetroBank did a few checks that seemed logical (not just paperwork) and got it sorted. Having to go into the branch isn't always convenient, but their hours are actually far more convenient than any other bank, and in some ways going in saves time over endless electronic processes -- their human-centric, high-street focused approach has definitely been good for me as a customer.
