If you are looking for a reliable bank for a Shariah Compliant Mortgage then look no further!
My family and I were taking the step of buying our first property and I can truly say we received impeccable service from Paul Jones at Gatehouse Bank.
Naturally, we were anxious with all the paperwork involved. Paul Jones not only worked with us diligently throughout the whole process he also made a potentially stressful time into a calming experience whilst maintaining his professionalism.
Many a time where deadlines are involved communication is key, knowing which stage you are at, and how far you are from completion, Paul Jones was calm, composed and patient at every juncture despite me calling a number of times in one day, he never once showed any frustration. Rather he would calm us, chase up the application status and give constant updates as we progressed through the different stages. Although it does take time to get from Application to Completion, if you have everything in place you will get there.
In summary, I would highly recommend the team at Gatehouse Bank for their level of experience, service and keeping their promise on delivery.
Thank you all so much!

I found a house in December 2021 and on the 4th of April I got my keys. I dealt mainly with Paul and he was INCREDIBLE. Emailing me on weekends and bank holidays & even at night. He is a VERY busy guy & I have to admit and was a tad difficult to get hold of but always made time for me and got back to me.
I think it definitely helps if you are proactive and respond to the banks queries immediately, having good organised paperwork as well as having a very good solicitor who is also thinking 2 steps ahead for you. I did pay extra for a “premium” solicitor and was easily the best decision I made. Feel free to drop me any questions and I will try to help!
We are still in the process of buying a house (dealing with the banks solicitors now) so will have another update once the transaction is complete.
How on earth are you supposed to trust them with doing business dealings if you can’t get through to them!
How can you expect to refinance or purchase a home with your so called partners if you can’t get through to them!
Going with this company will surely lead to more stress and aggro in your life.
Cost me £1000 in fees. Joke. Stick with Al Rayan.
By the time a meeting was arranged they never bothered to call ( I sat around waiting the entire afternoon) and decided that three weeks later during my work time was an appropriate time to call. When they left a message with a contact number I tried numerous times to call but was met with the same rude response of no one being available. Spent 4 months wasting my energy and time with a truly awful company with absolutely no sense of customer service. Would recommend that you stear clear of this abysmal mess that is considered a business. If you can't be trusted to keep your word about getting in touch, you can't be trusted to be a partner to buy a house with. Save your time and breath and go elsewhere.
He delivered outstanding service and exceeded my expectations in many regards. He was professional and highly efficient at conduction all stages of the process, he was highly responsive with emails and phone calls. His advice was concise and informative and he helped me make the right choices for my situation.
Mohammed Khans exceptional service resulted in my mortgage process only taking approx 4-5 weeks to get to offer stage.
I would advice others to opt to work with Mohammed Khan and to ensure they have all their application documents and I.D ready well ahead of time to ensure a smooth end to end process.
