The bank is shut. They have not updated this on Google. It’s currently shows that it is open.

Customer service is poor! Advised to complete an application online albeit to the website telling me that I need to visit a branch. Advice given was incorrect which has wasted my time. Avoid where possible!

I went to Barclays in January to change my surname after I got married. Despite handing over my marriage certificate, the staff typed in the wrong name which I eventually noticed on the app. I went back to correct this and waited for 45mins before I was seen. There was no apology from the person who made the error. Fast forward to receiving my new debit card today.... I received a new card in an envelope addressed to me with my new surname but the new debit itself has the old surname on it! I now have a new debit card that's fraudulent because it's not the name on my account. Incompetent staff at Barclays.. You can't make it up!!!!

This branch will always have stupid impatient customers. However, it is understandable as there are only 3 or 4 staffs working in the branch. The customers will always have a problem in the branch because everything is now “online” and this is not what they “want” to hear. So how about don’t go to the branch at all and find somewhere please. Or better yet, bank with another company. You, as an individual customer, does not affect Barclays if you leave. I bank there occasionally and seem to have no problem, but whenever I’m in the bank, there’s always a customer that gets aggressive because they didn’t hear what they wanted to hear. Shame haha. In conclusion, HSBC and Lloyds have returned to normal, it’s time for Barclays to do that as well.

Barclays is getting really bad in terms of customer service, and please, don’t excuse with “it’s pandemic now”. Went to that branch 3rd time and again completely disappointed with staff members. I’m trying to get mortgage advice online - waiting over 20 minutes and same over and over again and after an hour waiting you are just putting down the phone - not worth the wait. Going to the branch just to hear from their employees - “you need to do it online - via app chat or the phone”. After my explanation to the lady I tried already her answer was “now is too late to be done here” and again she said “try online”.
I’m wondering why branches are still open, the bank can put a sign onto the ATMs “for something else try online” and that’s it. Why the bank is paying money to people which main responsibility is to say “Do it online”?

Today was in this brunch. Specially came to change my address. I couldn't change address online or in mobile banking because new flat is new build and postcode couldn't be found. I took all documents with me. Rough woman was at help desk ( don't remember her name.something like Ramina). I explained her my problem and ask is it possible to do in this brunch. She told me that it is already 2 people in queue and it will takes long time. I told her that I can wait because I specially came for it. But suddenly she told me that in brunch it is not possible to do and I need to call to costumer service and do it through call service. I asked what problem ,why it is not possible to do in brunch? She was nervous and rude and just told me that if I don't like something I can change a bank. Very disappointed. Even person on phone,when I called them to change my address was surprised why it wasn't possible in the brunch.
Very poor costumer service.

Jaya and Nas was very friendly, knowledgeable , helpful and respectful , they engaged themselves , took their time to assist me even though Branch was very busy. Excellent customer service, I would visit the same branch again when I need to. I understand limited number of customers are allowed inside to follow government guidelines which makes customers to wait outside longer in the quay
