One of the worse if NOT the worst the Barclays Bank in the world. Very poor customer service. No one available to help and ques are always longer. It's a place where you can take covid and spread to others. I don't recommend anyone to go there. Just go to their branches ie Melton Road or somewhere else

Shameful behaviour don't even deserve a one star staff are saying they don't care what customers need, always long queues not helpful staff and happy to say don't come to the branch and trying to make you feel guilty turning up at branch. I have been told I can complain but Bosses are don't care and its clearly looks that way. Such shame on Barclays need to start exploring other banks.

I have banked with Barclays for over 30 years but the disgraceful customer service at the Leicester Haymarket branch has left me with no option but to close my account and take my business elsewhere. Special mention about their employee Ellie whose job it is apparently to get rid of as many customers that walk in as possible.

All my wife and I wanted to do was open a new account for her so we could both use the same bank. We already applied online but it told us we had to visit a branch to finish the application. Ellie told us to go away and use the app. We humoured her and did so, only to come back with a screenshot of the website telling us to go to the branch. She then told us my wife would have to switch her account with her existing bank to Barclays. She couldn’t keep it and have a new Barclays account, which I found to be very questionable advice. It feels like this branch just wants to shoo customers away with any reason they can find rather than help them.

So instead we went across the road to Metro Bank. They spent over an hour helping us get everything set up and could not have been friendlier or more professional. It’s sad that Barclays have gone so downhill, they’re not the bank they used to be any more. My advice is vote with your feet and take your business to Metro Bank instead.

What's the point of having such a fancy building when the staff that work there are very incompetent and unprofessional.

Honestly when setting up a joint account with them, it's like they do everything possible for you not to set one up with them. Special thanks to Suneil for the poor service, from top to bottom it's the worst customer service ever experienced.

If anyone is reading this review, avoid this branch as it's just a waste of your time. You are better off going to a different branch and not banking with Barclays. You have plenty of options, with Halifax and the Metro Bank being opposite.

Very big line up of customers takes ages to sort issue . Got it sorted thoe took 1 hour for a 5 minute job

Very bad customer service. Manager talked to me as though I was a child. I wanted to transfer from another bank but he told me they weren't taking new customers (seems crazy) so I went elsewhere.

Couldn’t believe the reviews so went this morning to deposit a cheque. The machine rejected it because of the feint writing. Joined the cashier queue and was totally ignored. Two colleagues neither even attempted to communicate. Completely ignored me. The woman greeting was unapologetic. Appalling service and will be moving to another bank ASAP.
