Halifax

Very helpful when we needed to open an executor's account in a hurry. The adviser (Samantha) went to great pains to make it all happen - and it's great to have a direct phone line to the branch.

Just went to this branch. Very poor attitude. Lack of knowledge. I had called earlier to print business statements - they said yeah come round. In snow and difficult conditions i went there. Cashier wasn't sure so went to manager, manager says yeah go ahead. Only for cashier to take my details etc then realised he had no access to business account? Really? I had statements handed over to him. He went back to the manager - who then looked at the statements for the 2nd time then i overheard him say - we don;t do them. You telling me that at the first glance - a manager and a cashier do not know if they have access to business banking accounts? Now I understand why local branches are folding up in hundreds - loads of people on a free ride. This branch was empty compared to Santander across the road - makes you wonder why. As a life long Halifax customer - i always avoid this branch. This is my second visit in yrs - not even for my mortgage did i go there. They just have a lazy approach to business. As you can read in other online reviews. Very sad.

The staff are not so helpful and have a snobby attitude apart from one lady who works there don't know her name but the rest off the staff I have met are rude even the manager who is very condescending I try to avoid this branch but it's my locals so can't always avoided it

If you want to take large amount off cash out do not go to this branch on multiple occasions I have found this to be very stressful even when I have rang ahead and ordered money.

The one star is for the only person in that branch who doesn't give me a hard time.

Bhairava is right, they certainly don’t do food and the decor is definitely modern bank themed.

The guys working went above and beyond to help me with my issue.

Rubbish branch. Glad I don't have to deal with them anymore. I closed my account and moved to another bank. Staff are rude and not very helpful, rather keep my money elsewhere.

The lady near the help counter was absolutely rude. I went in there to clarify to fill a form I had received from the bank. I used the chat services and they directed me to the bank. This lady "Angela" very rudely says she cannot help and I need to get help from elsewhere. Was absolutely hurt by her comments.
However, another lady ( sorry I didn't remember to ask for it) was extremely warm and directed me to the manager. Thanks very much!.

Had to take my mother to Halifax as were having problems with scammers. We meet Sarah Cook there, she was so helpful & went above & beyond to sort everything out. She was so kind & considerate to my mother who has dementia. We can't thank her enough for what she did, it's just a shame she's leaving that branch. A big thankyou to you Sarah 😃

This branch has now closed down owing supposedly to Covid. Whether it will ever reopen is another matter. Advice on the door says to go to Broadmead, which is a good 45 mins from my house. Try another bank would be my advice although I suspect they are all as bad as each other these days.
