Dreadful, stressful and unnecessary telephone system. I only wanted to speak to a member of staff in the Crewe office and had to provide my telephone banking number, Santander number, neither of which I had available. Although there we lots of options I had to listen to, none were what I wanted. A totally wasted half an hour for a simple query which is still not resolved. I just want to speak to somebody to make an appointment.

Staff were excellent when we arrive just at closing time, having been delayed in traffic. They provided a fast and efficient service without any fuss, despite probably wanting to get off home themselves. Would highly recommend this branch.

Not enough cashiers at windows means frequent queues. Policy of replacing cashiers with machines is obvious. Often staff will try to get customers to use online banking ( which is very risky in my opinion !! ). This of course would eventually enable the branch to be closed, ( with Santander ciitng that it is underused ) and cost staff their jobs. Keep on going in and queueing to keep those jobs , and DONT use the machines !!!

Super helpful, all 3 ladies behind the counter today were really pleasant with their customers and Carly and Sue helped me out massively with an international money order. They were so patient and thorough it was extremely refreshing!! 5 star customer service!!!

Carly and Sue you are a credit to the branch!

I had some trouble depositing money at the atm and as I was asking for help and unsure of what kind of account I had. The women I spoke to, shorter with curly hair, was speaking to me in an extremely condescending tone "you've been in before haven't you, I've explained the difference between the accounts lots of times before to you, but if you want me to explain them again to you I will" in the most condescending tone I have ever personally heard.

Her tone has never changed and I've visited plenty of times. Speaking to me like I'm extremely thick. Arrogant. Lecturing me on what I was doing and the kind of account I had, she was wrong on that too. Very disrespectful and I wish to never speak to her again. What if I was disabled and had trouble remembering things? Then again she probably wouldn't change her tone. I'm considering complaining. It was not a good experience and has left a very negative impression for me. The women on the till was a stark contrast in demeanour and was very helpful and friendly. Would be a 1 star if not for the women on the till.

Long queues due to having only two cashiers and having to wait behind a wall where the staff cannot see you.
I've banked with them since the Abbey National days and this is the worst branch I've ever visited.
