Went on Saturday to open a current account and everything went smoothly. This coming after a few trips in the previous weekend to some other banks that couldn't solve my problem unless I made an appointment with them in a few days or even weeks.
Working unsocial hours doesn't allow me a lot of free time. So Saturday was the only day I could make it.
Now, I've seen a lot of bad reviews about their customer service, but my trip over there was excellent. From the person who welcomed me in and up to the bank manager who at the end of my visit there, came to greet me, everyone treated me in a very politely yet friendly manner.

After being let down by Melton road and Hinckley road hsbc , I went to this branch and they helped me straight away! Fantastic service at the door where a gentleman took our name and number and called us when they were ready which was 15-20 min! When an agent attended us she was very friendly and helpful. We even told them about the poor service which we encountered. Anyways, I would suggest you don’t waste your time with small hsbc branches and just go to this branch! The best hsbc branch in Leicester. Thank you to the staff at this branch, keep it up.

Worst customer service experience I reached Leicester City center branch and i had a small question about the Atm a customer service executive (asian)was very rude to me as if I asking something from her, we are keeping our money in the Bank and she is receiving her salary from the Bank she should learn how to behave with a customer and this not only distort the reputation of bank. In future will never ever suggest some body to go there and never will I go.

Not helpful at all, none of the banks are helpful. I have come in UK for the first time as a full time employee and on tier 2 visa. I also have got letter from my employers stating my cousin sisters address, but these people will not open an account till the time I have place of my own. Therefore the leadtime to open a bank account can go up to 2 months

HSBC has really lost their way in the last few years, with poor rates and a complete absence of customer focus. They are all about virtue signalling these days, not meeting the needs and aspirations of their customers.

I have struggled since HSBC closed our business bank account in May 2020 and sent a cheque for the balance. It proved impossible to open a 'normal' bank account during lockdown ,but we did open an internet only account with Tide in September. Ever since I have been trying to get HSBC to make an online transfer into our new business account.( As Tide do not accept cheques) Phone calls did not get through, letters were ignored, e mails not replied to and in October the issue was reported to the Financial Ombudsman. Depite being told to sort out what should have been a simple.task, nothing happened. In desperation I visited the branch just before Christmas and was seen by Hima Parmar. She understood the problem and worked really hard to find a solution, whilst the teams in HSBC that had created the problem did nothing to help. Their suggestion was to collect cash (for a substantial sum) from the branch, pay it into a personal account, and transfer it to the company. For those who know, this would have set alarm bells ringing in my personal account and probably the Tide account too for Money Laundering !
Hima, bless her, managed to find a way to make an electronic transfer and to finally resolve a problem that should not be a problem at all. She has stuck to the task for more than two weeks and the funds finally arrived on 13th January 2021, eight and a half months late.
I would give this young lady more than ten out of ten if it were possible to do so. Whilst others in the bank hid behind a COVID 19 screen, she alone wanted to give good customer care. If you have an employee of the month award, give it too Hima for exceptional service.

Worst bank I have ever have. Also on internet shows it’s open in Leicester, but it is not! Refurbishing work on going! I just waist my time and money to travel this morning!

Worse Customer service I have ever received from this branch. I went there to submit my documents for opening a new account. And the lady from this branch says my tenancy agreement is not valid because that is not as per her expectations. The agent who provided me the tenancy agreement is providing same agreement to other tenants and that agreement is valid everywhere. But in this branch, customer service representative makes their own rule to accept or reject your documents.
