Okay, so this morning I called call centre about opening an account for my 11 year old. As he needs to be there too, I asked for either after 4pm (due to school) or a Saturday. I was told no. Thought I'd try my luck by going into the Dunstable branch. To be fair, the lady who saw to me was polite and helpful. But, even though they don't close until 5. They refuse to see anyone at 4pm onwards. And as for a Saturday appointment..... the wait is 2 months!!! Do you lot not want customers? So I called nationwide, and my son is opening his account with them in 3 working days time, at 4.15pm. Seems like Dunstable branch has zero interest. Also while I was in there, there was a disgruntled older man, the 2 staff that BRIEFLY spoke to him were as rude as hell. I felt so bad for him. I hope he changes his account to another bank.
Dunstable Barclays = lazy, rude, uninterested. No point in that particular branch being open if they they can't be polite and bothered with people

Nice people very helpful. Help me with all 3 problems I got it. Only problem is better if you do appointment if you don't want wait. I give 3 stars because with new update on 4th of December is not working at all. My phone is to old for this. I am really sad and I don't want change my phone for Barclay's. Sorry guys but I'm think change my bank account to other bank. For more people is happened the same after this update.

Claims it closes at 13:30 on Saturday arrived at 12:05 only to be told that the counters are closed. As I wanted coins this was a round trip of 30 miles wasted. Update your Google listing. It's how most people search for services.

Barclays is the worst bank ever I had transaction with, earlier they opened the account for my wife, we were told we can do transactions and after few days they closed the account without notifying us with any reason. People don't do any business with this bank. They'll take your hard earned money. No one would even help you to close the account with zero balance, they'll make run you from pillar to post.

Worst Barclays ever! Told the floor walker 3 or 4 times "I'm waiting to speak to someone behind the counter" before she actually stopped harassing me to use the machine instead. Then the manager approached me and told me I'm being rude, he said "many banks on the high street so go to a different one", I then had to tell him that he represents a branch and NOT Barclays as a whole! Why should i have to chanve banks because i received bad service at ONE branch
I shouldn't have to walk into my local bank early in the morning to be asked the same question FOUR times by the SAME individual, especially when I'm feeling anxious and my anxiety is getting the better of me already and I MUST speak to someone behind the counter to resolvemy issue. Absolute Joke of a place!they need to find better staff, will definitely not be going back to this horrible house of horrors.

Really helpful in branch - I've been in a couple of times after the past few weeks and it's really friendly service. First went in to go on a business account, decided that I wanted to open a personal account too. Recognised me, did the usual ID checks etc and I walked out with my account details and the account appearing in the app already. Could not fault the service at all.

I attended this branch due to a glitch in transferring my data from one tablet to another.
I was greeted cheerfully by a young lady who assessed my needs and directed me accordingly. This extended to opening an extra cashier point, I'm disabled and standing isn't my best thing. My query was dealt with efficiently and with care. Thank you.

I went to this Bank earlier this week and was seen by a counter assistant names Lisa, I can honestly say she was the most unhelpful, rude person I have ever had the displeasure of talking to. I won’t be returning to this Bank at all, just because of this experience alone!
