The cash deposit machine was very temperamental. It wouldn't take cards then it did for someone else. It kept rejecting notes so I had to make the deposit in three batches which meant that by the time I finished there was along queue behind me. I don't understand why there was only one deposit machine and why the machine seemed old compared to other machines I have seen in other Lloyds branches. By the time I left there was a line of at least ten people waiting to see the one cashier on duty and there were at least five people behind me. It was a Monday mid day and you would expect someone managing the bank to predict or expect a lot of customers and get more cashiers at the tills but no he/she didn't. Aside from the woeful service we did find a parking space close by and the bank building itself is very nice. I would try and avoid that branch in the future but that is just me and I may have visited Ina bad day.

I like Lloyds bank online services, but physical location in Blackburn deserved some serious improvements. First of all, current Google listing is not accurate since they claim to be open until 7pm on Thursdays, but actually works as usual and closes at 5pm. It might seem as a small detail but for a person like me it can ruin all the plans. Once before my flight abroad I came to the branch after 5 and they were closed, so I almost made it on time to wait in a queue, take travel money and get into the airport on Friday morning.

Secondly, I agree to everyone who said about long queues and not enough staff. What I've noticed is that only 1-2 people are working and working hard, while another 2-3 people were just "monitoring" or how to call that hanging around.

Thirdly, I understand why no one want to work as major point of contact to all customers. They have work overload and are paid pennies (as saw on indeed.co.uk).

I honestly hope that management process would be improved in this branch.

I have visited the branch few times .The staff are helpful .I went on a Saturday without an appointment on a busy day the lady made sure I was seen to and was very helpful..In the end the manager sorted my issue and was very polite and helpful. As for short staff ..Its like that where ever you go..

Useless bank.

Staff are slow and useless, asked them about a text message i received, i wanted to know if it was genuine - all she said was 'don't know'
Wanted to put some in my brothers account - wouldn't let me.

My card got stuck in a cash machine- twice! Walked into my local Lloyd's Bank and they were extremely helpful. Excellent customer service, friendly staff.

I forgot my PIN number, couldn't access my Internet banking and smartphone was playing up.
Georgia did a speedy job of ordering a new PIN, checking my balance for me AND with 'smiley eyes'. Thank you Alison for working at the entrance.

The place brought back good memories of my late father who would deposit his wages there, working at the Imperial Cotton Mill in the 70's.

Short staff yet everyone is on their toes helping get things back to normal.
