Halifax

Only held a savings account here, so I didn't have regular interaction with staff, however the when I did they were always friendly and helpful and I never had any trouble with my account.

They did have one of the best interest rates for a while, however with interest rates so low now, it's hard to find a decent savings account anywhere.

I called the call centre amidst the pandemic to ask for an appointment. This was made and confirmation sent to me. I went with my paperwork only to find the appointment was not made and I have to wait in the queue. Then she checked my paperwork and said it was all incorrect and she couldn’t complete my query. The staff are very rude and confrontational and customer service below standards.
I hate going into branch where staff are standing around with a clipboard asking you out loud about your visit or query and then trying to sell you an account! It’ll be nice if you can just go in and speak to staff when you have a query rather than being pounced on! Try and avoid and stick to online banking!

I have just attended once. "First impression matters". a strong saying. I am really pleased with the attention i received from the young lady that came to assist me. I was one the queue ( a little bit long ), wondering how long it would take to be my turn as I left my baby at home for the first time with her dad. There and then came this lady that was soft spoken and patient. She help with my cheque deposit, while explaining how I could do it next time. She also worked on my card which I had disabled as a result of misplacement. I ended leaving earlier than I thought . .❤❤

If you are in hurry do not visit this branch of Halifax. You must wait there is 2 hour before before serve . It's there normal protocol for every customer. They not even deserves 1 star

I've read a lot of negative reviews about this bank, I have to say that I have never had a problem, from the moment I opened my account the staff have always been very helpful and welcoming. The staff are doing all they can in very difficult circumstances, I for one think they are doing an excellent job in these difficult times.

Every time I ring the Halifax I cannot get through. Waiting time they say is 20 minutes I spent 52 minutes waiting then gave up!!
Plus my call to them is urgent. Not happy
