For the second time, I went in for an appointment to set up a current account.
The member of staff I was supposed to talk to, first refused to shake my hand. Then she didn't want to talk to me and kept saying "you can't just walk in here" despite me booking an appointment weeks previously.
She refused to help me set up an account, despite providing everything that was asked of me, for the second time. Do not waste your time with Barclay's.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced, waited nearly an hour to be seen about an issue with my account. Was told to phone their 24/7, due to the fact they were closing. The person in question was aggressive and not helpful in any manner. The person in the queue before had been waiting to be seen for nearly 2 hours. Absolutely dreadful avoid like the plaugue

Hands-down the worst experience I've ever had with a high st. bank.

Should have taken them 1 working day for them to generate the closing statement of my htb isa and whether through sheer incompetence or negligence, it took over 5 working days. This turned what should have been one of the simplest parts of buying a house into one of the most stressful.

Dealt with a different member of staff every time who gave confusing, mixed messages and clearly couldn't be arsed. The Manager was always 'on a conference call' and wouldn't deal with me face to face.

The whole branch reeks of poor leadership and a lazy culture. Close your accounts with Barclays and go with a purely online bank like Starling or Monzo so you don't have to deal with these clowns.

The staff needs to be more clear in the information they give.
Two days back, they asked me to come yesterday. On visiting yesterday, I was instructed to visit today. I reached at 10 am today, was informed to come again after 2 pm.

I rang to sort out a very delicate issue and a staff member called Harriette at 42 Wellfield Road, was very rude and unprofessional. Instead of helping she mentioned she will not be going around in circle. She had no manner and her voice tone was absolutely unacceptable. If a client have to wait five hours to get through over three days, this is not the sort of customer service I was expecting.
I am absolutely disappointed at the customer service provided.

Bad handling, too slow took over 40 mins to withdraw, do not have requested notes.

Well I have read other reviews which I feel are a bit over the top, I have been using this branch for over 20 years the staff are always polite, helpful, and if anything go out of there way to help you.

Mrs Louise Davies was so helpful and professional. She is such an asset to the branch! Although my local branch is much closer, I will make any effort to come to this one. I am not well financially educated and she was so patient with me.
