Second time visit. Food was as excellent as the first time staff were once again friendly and good at what they do. The garden was peaceful and a welcome relief after a hot day. Highly recommend food good food drink and service. Will become a regular visitor as its well behaved dog friendly too

It would have been 5 stars but the staff weren't over friendly, service at the bar was slow (she went away unexplained for five minutes as I was being served) and we felt as if we were a nuisance when we arrived and asked for a table. At this time the place was almost empty.

However, the food was very reasonably priced and excellent. My fish and chips was one of the best I have ever had in a pub/restaurant and everyone else was happy with their food. I would certainly visit again.

I don’t have a bad word to say about my experience dining here. All staff were kind and helpful. Our meals (starters and mains) came out quickly and were cooked perfectly. Please thank the chef(s) for me as the meals were really tasty especially the corn ribs starter!!

Was okay, we were acknowledged when we arrived, found a table. Attempted to order via the app but no luck (I had a gift card which it wouldn't accept) so I ordered at the bar and it was fine. Drinks were nice, food came out pretty fast and was nice. A bit greasy but just what I needed to be honest. Atmosphere was white good, bar staff said bye when we left. Not a bad experience and would go back.

Beautiful meal, well done chef. Great value for money. Would also like to say a big thank you to Emma who was polite, nothing was to much trouble, very attentive a credit to the rose and crown (hope you got your tip we left with the man behind the bar) highly recommended

Today my friend ordered me the chopped salad bowl without extra topper and was told no brown stuff that is on picture will be on it, ( I presumed they meant the Quinoa) I didn't mind this as I had the same bowl last week and there were all the other remaning items as described on the menu. But when it arrived it was missing the chick peas, red pepper, broad beans, and hardly any dressing. As we were in a hurry and hungry I ate it and thought I had been given just plain salad and my friend was charged less, no! I was shown receipt later and it was for £16.30 which my friend had the veg sausage meal and my salad bowl that were in the 2 for £10.50 and 2 Pepsi.
This was definitely overpriced for just a plain salad with 3 missing ingredients, they are clearly stated on the menu.
Unfortunately won't be going back and had told a few of my veggie friends how nice the chopped salad bowl was, and they have now agreed they will not try there. The only good thing was my friends meal was good.
If I had of known before leaving I would have complained there and then.

My previous visit was a 5 star, couldn't fault anything. This time we went, took my sister and the kids. Steak massively overcooked. Asked for Blue, came out medium well and most of the steak was grissle. Hair under finances steak. Asked for a change, same steak came out. Massively disappointed this time around as it's normally spot on.
