After visiting other bathroom stores, we were recommended Gary @ Wave Bathrooms.
We knew nothing about bathrooms and Gary happily shared his wealth of experience and knowledge to help us.
Gary took the time to find out what we wanted and then was able to recommend products and designs that would work best for us.
Together we found the perfect bathroom solution at a very competitive price.
We went to see Gary seven years ago for advice and ideas on refitting our 15-year-old bathroom and master bedroom ensuite, which had both seen very heavy use. We wanted to ‘make the main bathroom ‘bigger’ somehow and enable incorporation of a shower, rather than just having a shower over the bath - but we still wanted a bath. Gary drew up perfect plans for us, using previously wasted space at either end of the bath and around the original pedestal sink. He suggested taking a square area from the ‘dark corner’ of our adjacent ensuite to provide the perfect space for a shower. He recommended a partly built-in sink with cupboards beneath. There was even room to put in an additional door (Jack & Jill doors), thus giving the option of ensuite facilities for Bedroom 3 – and room for a laundry basket. The existing radiator was replaced by a stainless-steel heated towel rail in a different position. We chose coffee-coloured tiles that we saw in Wave’s showroom for wall and floor.
Despite the loss of an area of the ensuite to accommodate the shower in the main bathroom, Gary designed an ensuite for us that looks much bigger than the original room and with no dark spaces. We now have a spacious Impey wet-room shower area (with glass side panel), hanging toilet and beautiful sink with off-the-floor double-drawer unit beneath. Gary has an eye for what looks good. Taking into account our likes/dislikes, he guided us to the perfect combination of sandy-coloured wall and floor tiles and darkish brown drawer unit. He even recommended visiting Landford Stone as we wanted a dark brown marble effect window sill to complement the sink drawer unit. The existing radiator was replaced by a stainless-steel towel rail positioned alongside the sink.
Nigel King, a fitter Gary recommended, did the work for us and we were absolutely delighted with the results.
In early 2016, Nigel fitted another bathroom for us – this time the guest bedroom ensuite, which had also seen a lot of use since the house was built. Of course, we’d been to Wave again and discussed what we wanted – some re-ordering of the room was needed to optimise use of space. The new design incorporated another Impey wet room arrangement comparable to that in our master ensuite, sink with single off-the-floor drawer unit underneath, hanging toilet and stainless-steel heated towel rail. Gary also supplied a Roper-Rhodes two-door mirrored wall cabinet (with light and shaver charging point) for above the sink, which Nigel set into the wall for us.
We chose a combination of white wall tiles (with grey grouting) and one wall of grey ‘wave’ tiles that we saw in the Wave showroom (highly appropriate!). During the actual installation, we realised that the floor tiles we’d chosen looked too dark. We went back to Gary and he immediately said that we could return them and he’d give us a full refund. He suggested we try a local tile warehouse, where we found the perfect match. We returned to Landford Stone for a white/grey marble effect window sill and shelf above the toilet. Once again, we were thrilled with the result – a lovely light and roomy bathroom. We cat-sit our eldest son’s two cats from time to time and we’ve found that the space beneath the sink drawer unit is perfect for their covered litter tray – an unexpected bonus of Gary’s design!

Furthermore went back recently - 4 years after having our new bathroom from Wave - because a sink pop-up waste top had been damaged and needed replacing. I was amazed to be told by Dave that there was no charge for this item, for which I had expected to pay £15-20. How many companies would do that?
Highly recommend Wave Bathrooms - an excellent small independent business.
It reminded me of what a nice, reliable, helpful and professional outfit they were, and what a pleasure the experience was - then and still.
Thank you Wave Bathrooms.
David delivered all the goods on time to enable our fitter to commence the work on time and was equally helpful.
I have no hesitation in recommending this company if you want a quality bathroom
