I recently got married and was looking forward to my honeymoon so I booked in to Mollycoddle to have a pedicure and a crystal clear facial.

As you can see from the picture, my pre honeymoon pedicure was an absolute disaster. She hacked at my nails and made me bleed and even though I prefer my toe nails short, I didn’t expect to have tiny blobs of colour put on the skin around where my toe nails should be.
The facial was even worse. I booked in for the crystal clear microdermabrasion and instead of it being exfoliating, it was painful and despite my protestations of my skin being ripped off, there was no suction in the machine at all. The mask was left on for 2 minutes and I was in and out with bleeding feet and a sore face in 50 minutes. The facial was meant to be 30 and the pedicure was meant to be an hour. I don’t really think painting toe nails in between touching my face and taking the mask off was particularly hygienic.
So I went on my honeymoon with scars on my face and toes I would rather cover up.
Please avoid this awful excuse for a salon. There was no niceties and no lovely chat. It seemed so stuck up and old looking.

I would put zero stars if I could but wouldn't let me post without at least putting one, Disgusted is an understatement. The grey haired woman around her late 60's behind the desk was unprofessional and abrupt. The two young girls in the salon had no customer service skills and quite frankly seemed stuck up. Came out very unhappy with my treatment. It was my first and last time at this salon, will never be returning.

I came in to purchase a gift voucher for my work colleague and the older lady behind the desk told me I would be lucky to book anything in over the next couple of months. I was confused as to why someone would say that when I was only going in for a gift voucher. Unfortunately she was suffering with halitosis too which really put me off. I did call to complain and speak with the manager who was very rude and dismissive. I don’t understand why people would go into a salon so rude. I was warned off of using them as a friend of mine had the blonde lady who owns the salon and she was slapdash and treated her like a number in a queue. Please avoid this awful place. I wish I had!!

I've been a customer of this salon for many years and NEVER had a problem.
The service is top. The staff are ALL friendly and professional.
The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable.

Never have I had any service where I haven't felt relaxed. Products used are quality, unlike some in other places. It's clean and the girls are lovely.

My only comments on the ones below is, they must have gone to a different salon! As for talk of the school, never heard a bad word in Southwater, only recommendations! If it was so bad how come it's lasted so long and always fully booked?!

The receptionist is friendly and helpful. The owner is a warm and caring person .
I have regular facials, crystal clear is abrasive but they go up in stages. Never would it scar your face, but it's not like a normal exfoliate. 50 mins would be right for pedicure and crystal.
I have regular shellac on nails and toes and they are always fine. The salon is spotless.

I treat people as I find . . .and I've always been treated very well.
Some of these comments sound like grudges or sour grapes for no valid reason

I used to be a client at Mollycoddle and then suddenly the atmosphere changed. My lovely treatments turned into slapdash ones and what once was a treat turned into a chore. I always felt like the receptionist was watching everyone and it wasn’t a nice experience. A friend of mine went recently with a voucher and felt like she was in a cattle shed being moved along quickly and felt the staff were snobby and rude. What once was a lovely village salon has become a laughing stock amongst the parents at the schools so now everyone I know goes to town for their treatments. Such a shame

I love this place. The whole team are ultra professional, super friendly and provide a fantastic service.Whether it be a quick 40 minutes at the nail bar or one of their luxury treatments you will come out relaxed and rejuvenated. We are so lucky having this great beauty salon on our doorstep.

Today at Mollycoddles Southwater I had the best Back, Neck and Shoulder Therapeutic Massage I have ever had. I have had terrible Shoulder and neck plus upper arm pain for months. I cannot believe this evening I am 90% better and after hopefully a good night's sleep will be 100% pain free. THANK YOU REBECCA you are amazing. Cannot recommend Mollycoddles highly enough.

I've been going to Mollycoddle for 11yrs now. The service is fabulous, Rebecca's knowledge is fantastic and the dermalogica products are great. I first went to Rebecca when I was out of options with my adult acne in the run up to my wedding. I had tried everything over the counter and prescriptions etc - everything. Rebecca's patience and knowledge cleared it up over time without the need of harsh prescriptions. I seriously don't ever let anyone else touch my skin!
