As you can see from the picture, my pre honeymoon pedicure was an absolute disaster. She hacked at my nails and made me bleed and even though I prefer my toe nails short, I didn’t expect to have tiny blobs of colour put on the skin around where my toe nails should be.
The facial was even worse. I booked in for the crystal clear microdermabrasion and instead of it being exfoliating, it was painful and despite my protestations of my skin being ripped off, there was no suction in the machine at all. The mask was left on for 2 minutes and I was in and out with bleeding feet and a sore face in 50 minutes. The facial was meant to be 30 and the pedicure was meant to be an hour. I don’t really think painting toe nails in between touching my face and taking the mask off was particularly hygienic.
So I went on my honeymoon with scars on my face and toes I would rather cover up.
Please avoid this awful excuse for a salon. There was no niceties and no lovely chat. It seemed so stuck up and old looking.
The service is top. The staff are ALL friendly and professional.
The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable.
Never have I had any service where I haven't felt relaxed. Products used are quality, unlike some in other places. It's clean and the girls are lovely.
My only comments on the ones below is, they must have gone to a different salon! As for talk of the school, never heard a bad word in Southwater, only recommendations! If it was so bad how come it's lasted so long and always fully booked?!
The receptionist is friendly and helpful. The owner is a warm and caring person .
I have regular facials, crystal clear is abrasive but they go up in stages. Never would it scar your face, but it's not like a normal exfoliate. 50 mins would be right for pedicure and crystal.
I have regular shellac on nails and toes and they are always fine. The salon is spotless.
I treat people as I find . . .and I've always been treated very well.
Some of these comments sound like grudges or sour grapes for no valid reason
