We stayed at Millstream Cottage from August 1st to 2nd. We cannot recommend it highly enough. The warm welcome - with Sue even helping us to secure a parking place - with tea and delicious cakes, the charm of the place, the delightful room with everything one needs and finally the delicious breakfast. We also received very valuable information about places to visit when we left Dunster - Wells Cathedral, Castle Combe and Lacock - all wonderful experiences. Sue also helped us to choose a restaurant for dinner - surprisingly many good places in such a tiny place. We chose Hathaways. Very close to Millstream Cottage. Excellent food, wine and service. Before leaving Dunster we explored the very charming village, visited the Mill, the Church and the Castle. All of this in - most of the time - pouring rain. The biggest compliment to Sue and Charles and Dunster is that this did not manage to spoil our experience. If we could give 10 stars instead of 5 we would do so - visit Dunster and stay at Millstream Cottage. You won't regret it.

Some of the finest hospitality anywhere in England, combined with comfortable beds, sumptuous pillows, plenty of hot water and a brilliant breakfast. Millstream Cottage is a must-stay when in west Somerset and highly recommended. Well done to Sue and Charles for keeping a great place to rest your weary eyes!

A gem! Hosts Charles and Susan were most welcoming and helpful. The rooms were spotlessly clean and breakfast (served 8.30 to 9.00 am) was superb. (Even home made cookies in the room!) There is a lounge for guests, so when you return to base, you don't have to sit in your room. Millstream Cottage is ideally placed for exploring historic Dunster on foot and also central for visiting Exmoor and lots of other places of interest by car.

We stayed here for a couple of nights at Whitsun and had a wonderful time. The welcome from both Phil and Paula was warm and the tea and cake on arrival was a simple yet lovely surprise. The room was clean and bright and very comfortable with a number of different teas to accompany the lovely biscuits. We enjoyed our choice of cooked breakfast to set us up for the days sightseeing around the area and would happily stay here again.

Just returned from a lovely 3-night break at Millstream Cottage B & B in Dunster, where Paula and Phil gave us a very warm welcome. Dunster itself is postcard perfect, a fantastic base to explore Exmoor, but 500-year-old Millstream Cottage is the icing on the cake. Pretty cottage gardens greet you at the front, and there are two spacious and cosy reception rooms for guests' use, both very comfortable, beautifully furnished and decorated.

We stayed in the duck-egg blue room, a small double that we chose for its pretty view over the garden and West Street. Though not large, it was perfectly adequate, with tasteful decor, a comfortable bed, pretty window-seat and an excellent shower.

It was the small extra touches in our room that made the difference, though - a tin with lots of different teas and coffees, a jar full of biscuits, fresh milk from a mini-fridge on the landing for visitors who don't like those little UHT pots. Quality toiletries in the bathroom, and a decent hairdryer (with nozzle no less! Be still my beating heart!) in the dressing table drawer, together with cotton buds, cotton wool and a shoe shine.

Breakfast was also impressive, with a tasty range of cooked options, plenty of cereals, toast, yoghurt and fresh fruit.

Paula and Phil could not have been more hospitable, and we felt very much at home in this lovely B & B. It's rare for my husband and I to stay at the same place twice, but now we've found Millstream Cottage we're sure to stay there again on our next visit to Exmoor.

We had a fantastic two-night stay in Dunster. Millstream cottage is beautiful and immaculately kept by Paula, with many thoughtful touches that other reviewers have mentioned. E.g. there was a short power cut during our stay and Paula left candles and a torch for when we returned late. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice. Very highly recommended!
