Y-NOT Guest House

Initially I was a little reluctant to stray away from my commercial Travelodge, but I didn’t regret for one minute booking this little gem. The place is spotlessly clean and the host Margaret really cares about her guest’s welfare and couldn’t be more helpful. There is a kitchen you have use of on an evening so you can prepare your own meals instead of eating out, which you do get tired of when travelling. I couldn’t have asked for more, but there was more, breakfast was lovely and I think it was brilliant value for money. I would certainly stay again if in the area, thank you

Got caught out and needed overnight accomodation at short notice. Totally clean, quiet, firm mattress for good sleep, tea in room with soap, shampoo and clean towels. Biker friendly with secure parking. Not the most expensive and a breakfast as well. All you could want.

Have stayed here on many occasions, the latest just last night. As always the rooms are exceptionally clean due to the host's high standards and the diligence of the staff. Excellent breakfasts and nothing too much trouble. Where else can you go and use a pristine kitchen to cook your own evening meal should you wish to? Excellent value for money.

Don’t normally do reviews but decided to make an exception. Room was lovely and clean with everything you could need. Never stayed in a place that had so many supplies in our room. Breakfast was excellent. Off road secure parking. Would highly recommend if in the area. Margaret was very friendly and helpful. Thank you.

Having actually stayed at these premises several times, and with years of experience travelling the length of the country from the Shetlands to the Isle of Wight, I have never known a better value, more helpful environment where the wefare of the guest is paramount.

The communal kitchen is spotless, the decoration clean and fresh in both the rooms I stayed in, while extras one doesn't get everywhere like toiletries, tissues and bottled water in the rooms are always available.

In addition, the proprietor makes a personal point about one's breakfast preferences and meets these wherever she can.

I have the impression of being looked after rather than just engaging in a legitimate commercial transaction.

Having actually stayed here several times, I have just booked again for when I next need to be in Boston.

Y-Not Guest House is a rare find, & I fully recommend it to any traveller to the area who seeks excellent value, very clean surroundings and a warm welcome

Such friendly hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. Laid back lodgings spotless no frills with lots of room supplies.

The landlady was incredibly helpful she helped me find a fabulous restaurant informed me of local history and how to get around the town/area She made us very welcome and the cleanliness of the bnb was exceptional I shall always stay here in the future if I’m in he area ( of course if she has a vacancy) thank you for my relaxing stay 🙏

I stayed at the door for almost 1/2 hours waiting for someone to let me in. Then overnight I felt cold & heating was off!
