What a beautiful place! So peaceful. The lodge had everything we needed and more. Really cosy and welcoming!
The owner Dan and Katie are very nice people. To top it off the homemade treats were amazing! Very happy and we will be back.

The most tranquil and serene location coupled with stellar service and attention to detail equate to a recipe for the most relaxing stay I've ever had, and was amazing value! I couldn't recommend Hayeswood Lodge enough it's a hidden gem. Thank you Dan for making our stay so wonderful!

From the moment we arrived to be greeted by Dan to stepping through our cute little front door (maple) it was awesome, beautiful location, room smelt amazing, the most wonderful comfy mattress and fluffy duvet and pillows. Little stocked fridge ready for breakfast and pretty toiletries. After unpacking we were warmly invited to walk through Dan and Katie's garden to a tucked away bluebell woodland where we had the joy of seeing close up a herd of deer. A beautiful 2 seater swing hung from a tree was so cosy and romantic too. Everything felt unrushed, relaxing and private. We took a taxi the 2nd night to the recommended rose and crown which was outstanding. We simply walked in glorious surroundings, ate delicious food cosied up in a luxurious bed, sank into a very deep bath. We look forward to returning for my birthday!

Just had an absolutely fantastic stay here! From the moment we pulled up on the drive we recieved the warmest of welcomes by Dan and the pooches. Dan and Katie were so lovely and made my Birthday extra special by putting a handmade card and the Most AMAZING chocolate brownies in our room upon arrival and were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay, from lending us an umbrella to explore the grounds to lending us seat cushions and blankets, as we said we might sit in the courtyard during the evening!
The most thoughtful things mean the most to any guest and certainly us. The grounds are stunning and we enjoyed a lovely bottle of red by the pond in the late afternoon and lunch at Bottle Kiln before our arrival. The room was absolutely beautiful and immaculate with lovely touches, in particular the breakfast with the best homemade crumpets
and jam we've ever tasted. 😋! It has been one of the best nights sleeps I've ever had and the most relaxing of stays. My Fiance and I plan to return again and want to say a HUGE thank you to Dan and Katie for a wonderful stay and being so lovely. Would throughly recommend this hidden gem to anyone! 10/10 guys. Many thanks Victoria & Lorenc aka (Len). X

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting friends. After an exhausting 9-hour drive all the way from Belgium, the lodge was an amazing sight for sore eyes.

The room was incredibly cozy and tidy. Super comfy beds and amazing homemade granola, crumpets, brownies, … this place was exceeding all my expectations! After coming back everyday from my activities the room was fully re-stocked and the bed was always made.

Dan was an extraordinary and host and knew like no other how to make you feel welcome.

Will definitely be staying here again when I plan to revisit my friends.

Thanks again Dan, as always your accomodations are quite, clean, restful... Exceptional in every way.

Megan thinks your breakfasts are amazing and such a nice touch to have a homemade meal in our room.

Can't wait to stay again, till next time.

Hayeswood Lodge offers beautiful rooms with very comfortable beds and facilities. The location is so peaceful - yet gives easy access to Derby and Nottingham. The recent addition of an EV charger has made it the perfect place for my regular work trips to the area. A home-from-home ! ❤️

Lovely comfortable accommodation in a quiet location. Self-serve breakfasts were delicious and homemade. The facilities in the room (small kitchen, well equipped bathroom, comfortable bed) were all to a very high standard. Strongly recommended.
