Hill View Bed & Breakfast

Had a wonderful stay at Hill View Steyning as a stopover walking the South Downs Way from Winchester to Eastbourne. Greeted by a warm welcome and a beautiful home with breathtaking gardens. Really comfy room with modern bathroom. Everything you would wish for in a B&B. Hostess made the most beautiful breakfast and is a rare talent! Thank you for a wonderful stay and enhancing my experience of the South Downs Way.

I spent the night here recently whilst on a long distance cycle trip taking in the Downs Link Way and can thoroughly recommend the place. The studio was light, airy and spacious, and immaculately clean. The shower was amazing, after a day in the saddle and having acquired a coating of dirt which stuck to my sunscreen I certainly needed it. The proprietors are also keen cyclists so if you need local advice or assistance with your bike (I did!) they can point you in the right direction. This place is great for anyone wanting a cosy overnight stay whilst exploring the South Downs.

Excellent B and B. Helen and Robin so welcoming, friendly and easy. Recommend for anyone doing South Downs way. Helen also kindly recommended a restaurant to eat at abd even booked it for me!

Nice big airy room. Lovely tea and coffee facilities , bathroom was so clean and Helen and Robin were great hosts.

We were in the lovely "Artist's studio" room above the garage. It was beautiful and the owner, Helen, was extremely friendly. She also had lots of recommendations for restaurants and a nearby shop to buy supplies. She gave us dishes for our takeaway dinner and even drove us back to the trailhead in the morning for a small fee when the bus times weren't convenient. The breakfast was lovely with lots of options, including a full English, and homemade spreads and fruit compote from the garden. We had a great stay at Hill View and would definitely recommend it to others!

Excellent and Lovely B&B with a fantastic host in Helen, who went above and beyond the expected levels of customer service for a B&B host.

When I arrived at Hill View on Saturday evening on the 2nd October, after spending all day on the SDW getting everything soaking wet including the full contents of my Rucksack!!!👎🤦🏻‍♂️😬🎒

Helen then spent the best part of the next 2 to 3 hours helping me get things dry or thev starting of a long drying process, which went on through to my late departure the following modern.

All facilities at Hill View were modern,high quality and above my expectations for such an affordable nights stay c/w a tasty and filling quality breakfast offering in the morning.

I can speak more highly of my stay at Hill View and all the help and assistance that Helen provided that made my stay most welcoming🙏
