Very limited parking although quite a lot of local parking but obviously you have to pay. Attended for a funeral, the food was outstanding but unfortunately the plates and cups were cleared so frequently that it almost felt like they were trying to hurry us along. People could've easily reused their plates but instead they were taken away and not replaced, so people were eating off napkins which was unfortunate and messy. The tea was in pots which was replaced often which was great, the coffee was in an American coffee maker with a warmer which was ok. Bar was well stocked, just unfortunate that the plates were cleared before you'd swallowed your mouthful. Not push chair friendly at all.

The venue for my daughter’s wedding reception on Saturday 2 nd July.
Wonderful from start to finish.
Beautiful venue, Staff very helpful and attentive and the food was amazing.
All we can say is thank you, just wish we could do it all again, would not change a thing !

We have just spent two brilliant nights here.
It's a great location for visiting the city also perfect for the National Memorial Arboretum.
The welcome was lovely and warm, by Dan, who made us very welcome.
The breakfast menu was very good.
We had the garden room in the stables, perfect outdoor space foe those early morning coffees and nightcap.
Dan has done a brilliant job on refurbishing, ongoing and has great taste and a good eye for detail.
As you can tell we had a great time.
Well done Dan and your brilliant team and thank you.

P.S. we will be back !!!!!!
Mark and Colin.

Beautifully restored building. I am in a characterful attic room in the stable extension, which is well appointed with walk in shower, bathrobe, fridge, iron and board and (thankfully!) a fan. It is quite hot due to the heatwave but a comfy bed. The breakfast is delicious and cooked fresh (I had a full vegan breakfast). Helpful staff and highly recommended, and close to all the city has to offer.

Stayed last year and upgraded due to a heating issue, returned again this year and paid the extra to have a separate seating area, however due to another heating issue that didn’t get sorted until our third night made our stay disappointing. The thermostat control was in another room so when the occupants turned it down our heating went off, tried to sort it out but forgot to fix the pressure that would ensure the hot water would go around the system, so instead of using the seating area we wrapped up in the duvet instead. Staff were lovely, location was just walking distance from Lichfield centre, private parking and close to train station. Very dissatisfied that we paid the extra for that particular room and it was freezing cold. No compensation offered just sorry it took so long to sort out. Regular visitors, but will not be returning.

What a lovely hotel. Very central, lovely rooms and very helpful service. Great to have parking as we came a long way. We stayed four nights and can really recommend St Johns.

We stayed here for 1 night only following the funeral of a dear friend in Lichfield. The family had an afternoon tea at St John's.
The B&B could not have been more helpful on what was a difficult time. Staff were simply brilliant.
Breakfast was excellent and not the usual buffet offer. Have to say that the porridge was the best we have experienced in a hotel.
Our room combined the period charm of the building with the modern facilities that one enjoys eg the bathroom.
Some aspects of the building are "quaint". If you are looking for something a bit different from the modern chain hotel room, then this is for you. A bit tricky to get into the car park but parking in Lichfield is a bonus.
Not inexpensive, but worth it.

Lovely old characterful building close to the centre with off road parking. Refurbished very tastefully & stylishly. Friendly staff, good breakfast & overall a really nice experience staying here. Only criticism was with the bathroom in the Cottage room we had ...it was a very cold room, the tiled floor was absolutely freezing (I couldn't walk on it in bare feet so if you are in that room take some slippers!) & the fan wasn't working otherwise it was a comfortable room (which had a great shower/bath). For £60pp I think it represented fair value for money & I would go back.
