Very nice place. Would have been 5 star if the breakfast was good, small bit of mold on one piece of toast put my wife off her food. The rest of the bread was ok. Withought this issue the breakfast would have been average but we really liked our room.

Unique historic house, with charm and a welcoming feel. Such a different experience to the everyday hotel. Guests are made very welcome and the staff are so good at making one feel at home. Rooms delightful and well - stocked with a good selection of teas coffees etc. I arrived much later than they expected, but I was welcomed with a sandwich, tea and cakes. It is only a few minutes from the M56, and about 10 mins drive from the centre of Chester. There is even a bus stop close by! Recommended.

Booked a room for my step daughters baby shower. What a lovely afternoon we had. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Food was fabulous. Room was lovely. Very competitive price. Highly recommended.

Lovely warm welcome for us and our children. The breakfast was fantastic. Shame we didn't stay for a second night. Everything was just right for a B&B. Glad I booked this instead of the usual big chain hotels.

Traditional guest house, beautiful old building with wonky floors and door frames but kept well.
Breakfast was very good, quality ingredients cooked well.
Nice little bar tucked on the side of the main seating area.
Far better value than the main hotel chains, would definitely stay again if in the area.

We had a family room so it was great after a long day at the zoo. You have a great choice of food for breakfast and everything is served on a hot plate. The bathroom could be a bit cleaner. But the beds were comfy and a decent size.

Booking taken at for 8.30 for an important occasion. On arrival told they dont open till 9. Staff were standoffish and once taken the order told they have a funeral to cater for and they cannot make the breakfast as they were using the oven for cakes and asked to leave. I will not be coming again

Fabulous stay in this lovely quirky B&B. Sarah and John are the perfect hosts and very welcoming. We arrived early and Sarah offered us refreshments which was lovely, the fresh baked scone was delicious 😋 Breakfast was great, tasty and hot and set us up for the day. Definitely recommend
