Have just spent a really good night in a very comfortable, clean, friendly B&B. Would highly recommend Fernbank to anyone and will do so to friends flying from Prestwick. Weekend before this one I stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton in Chester. £190.00 a night for the bed and breakfast and truthfully, don't see where the extra money was worth it. To choose between the two, Fernbank would win. Personal service, warm genuine greeting on arrival and at breakfast, personal email sent before arrival (as was checking in quite late) with instructions of what to do if very late. Overall very pleasent stay and worth more than the cost and to top it all, ground floor room with a patio door to the smoking area.....wonderful.

This is a very well run establishment. The owners are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great and all for a very reasonable price. All amenities are close by. I can highly recommend Fernbank Guest House.

Stayed 10th 11th August nice clean room only downfall was the bathroom it was clean but kept bumping into glass panel at the end of the shower has it didnt have any edging on it so blended in with the black bathroom and being so clear hard to see edging needed badly was quite scary for the hard to see, Breakfast was a little on the dry side mushrooms dripping in butter bacon quite dry. SO next day i asked for plum toms and bacon and Davied got me some even though they do not have them normally with breaky Overall good stay nice price

USA 🇺🇸 I stayed at Fernbank on my first trip to Scotland.. 2014. it was a nice place but was never anyone around when you need something or needed help. our Room was upstairs (a lot of stairs I may add) when we checked in the owner I recall (David) just stood there and watched us girls struggle with our luggage to get up the stairs. we stayed there 6 days and seen him one time.. the guy in the room next to us shared his towels with us. I definitely would never recommend this place to anyone when traveling to Prestwick Scotland.. our trip was amazing, beautiful country. three years later we returned but stayed in Glasgow this time.. much better.. ( hope the new owners are more pleasant and helpful)

Lovely place. David very helpful and friendly with a very warm welcome. He provided unsweetened soya milk for me even tho its not one of his usual milk options. Room very clean and comfortable with a great ensuite shower.
