Gowanbrae Bed & Breakfast

Fantastic bed and breakfast. The rooms were lovely and comfortable, the b&b situated a few minute's walk from the central clock tower. The breakfast was outstanding, with bacon, sausage and black pudding from an award winning local butcher, and jams homemade by proprietress Jo. Steve and Jo were lovely and welcoming, and really went out of their way to make our stay a great one. Highly recommended!

It's our last night of 5. Steve and Jo have gone above and beyond what you would expect from your hosts.lots of information about the village places to eat things to do in and the surrounding area. Breakfast if you like a cooked Scottish breakfast this is excellent fills you for the day.

Gowanbrae is an absolute must if you are in the area of Dufftown. Steve and Jo are super nice and friendly, every suggestion or recommendation they gave us was spot on. On Monday nights in Dufftown there is live folk music at the Royal British Legion, which was just an amazing experience. We were warned that we would be the youngest people there (and we were), but that wasn't an issue at all. We felt very welcomed by the community and loved all of the music.

But back to the B&B. The rooms are gorgeous, the bathroom is newly renovated (or at least looked like it), the included breakfast was amazing, and even the wifi was very fast. The price was very affordable as well. But nothing was comparable to the warm, kind hosts.

We had such an amazing time, and might even have to come back next Monday for some more folk music.

Perfect spot in downtown Dufftown. The hosts are amazing people who will provide recommendations on what to do in the area, have a friendly chat with you, and make sure your stay is excellent. My first choice for the next time I'm out this way.

I highly recommend Gowanbrae B&B. Room was very nice, breakfasts are diverse and delicious. But the most important thing is the atmosphere created by the hosts. Steve and Jo treat us as friends, we realy enjoyed evenings with them and other guests in a living room. They are also very helpful and advise where to go and what to see.

Such a beautiful B and B, thought and care has been taken to decorate and create an inviting and super comfortable place to stay. Their breakfast is the stuff of legends! The hosts Jo and Steve are one of the loveliest couples we've had the chance to meet - hope to be back soon! From their knowledge of local walks to encyclopedic whisky wisdom, you're guaranteed plenty of insider info to guide your time in Dufftown.

Very well presented traditional B&B in the heart of Dufftown. The whole place is immaculate, rooms were wonderfully cosy and very well equipped. Hosts were very nice people who added to the overall experience, breakfast was incredible, highly recommended thankyou S&J , best wishes
