Comfortable and well maintained. Great host, will go out of his way to help.
Great breakfast.
Nice and close to town and great walks.

Rooms are noisy and there were stains on the bedding. If you require cooked breakfast then make sure you say the day before otherwise you will not get one! Smells of cigarettes. On the plus side it's within walking distance of the town centre.

Stayed here when on business in the area, the location was perfect for our meeting the following day. Met by a very pleasant member of the family run property who showed me to my room, which was spacious and well furnished. The bed was large and comfortable with a full en suite. Did not get chance to savour breakfast but was included in the cost of the room. Would recommend this B and B.

Firstly this is not a B&B as no breakfast is available so if a B&B is what you want (as we did and wrongly presumed that because the second B stands for breakfast we could have breakfast) then don't book here.
Secondly do not book here if there is an event going on in the castle (unless you are attending the event!) as the noise is crazy. We arrived on a very hot evening but couldn't sleep with the window open because of the noise and then when we tried to close the window we were unable to, so couldn't block out the sound.
Thirdly, the timings of check in are extremely strict with seemingly no wiggle room so unless you can fit with the times again do not book here.
Our experience - we needed somewhere to stay after photographing a wedding. Because of the awkward check-in times we had to leave during food service which meant missing the starters. When we arrived back later that evening to a noisy room due to the event in the castle and inability to shut out the sound we decided to drive the 2 hours home rather than stay, especially as there was no breakfast for us in the morning anyway. Overall not a great experience.

Smells of cigarettes. Not four star. No breakfast. Whilst the room was clean, with good facilities, the landlord lives downstairs and is a smoker. The smell permeates through the whole house. I had booked three nights, but had to leave after one night and go and stay elsewhere. I was offered no refund. Avoid if you are a non smoker.

Please don't believe me, read other reviews on this and other sites! This owner has strange reception hours and preys on people arriving just a bit late, immediately proposing the payed room to others and cashing in several times. We were just a bit late and got robbed, having payed for 4 nights. Don't go there!!!

We arrived late (as is usual; husband's carer role prohibits him from a full holiday at present), and the owner gave us instructions how to check in late, without any problems. Went to Pendre Fish.& Chips for a late, delicious supper by Cardigan Castle and Avon Teifi, then back 'home' for the night. Owner runs a tight but well-oiled ship. Delicious breakfast was ready the next morning as agreed at check-in. Hope to re-visit soon and take in more of the beauty of Cardigan.
