We went away for a long weekend and enjoyed our stay very much. Steve and Alison are very welcoming and was genuinely thoughtful when talking about our activities each day. The attention to detail was amazing, including little hats on eggs at breakfast!

This was our first time ever in Betws-y-Coed & Glyntwrog House was the perfect homestay. The location is amazing - 1) view-wise 2) the town centre is a 15 minute walk which was a great feature for us, particularly, because we relied on public transport. Our room was cute & comfortable. Alison & Steve's hospitality made us feel absolutely at home & reminded me, personally, of my homeland India 😊 Steve even came to pick us up from Llandudno station because Transport for Wales had an issue & we missed our train to Betws-y-Coed. Both of them are well-informed about how to get around Snowdonia & the town in general. The breakfast options were good & they took my request of a vegetarian sandwich 🥹 We couldn't have asked for a better experience of our very first B&B here. Already looking forward to visiting Alison & Steve again ❤️

New owners - No worries. Lovely Lovely owners.
It had a real charm about the place. It's hardly the most modern, but really liked it. And breakfast. First class. Its only a short walk to the centre, and to be honest, given you get a lovely view. I'd stay here again in second. Recommended

We stayed for 3 nights with Sean & Mary-Ann (The new owners of Glyntwrog House) this weekend. It has been an experience worth revisiting in the future.
To start off - Sean was prompt in his email replies about availability and pricing. Our breakfast options were taken down the night before. Sean mad some amazing eggs and potatoes (Indian Style). We absolutely loved them. Our room was Wagtail the Family room..Nice and big with a separate bed for our kid. The mattress was very comfortable and the room smelled really fresh all through our stay. In terms of location - Betws - y - coed is a charming small village (about 10 mins walk from the bnb). It is about 30 mins drive from Llandudno and 1 hour drive from Southstack lighthouse. Also 45 mins or so from Snowdonia. So a great base for exploring North Wales. Sean has some great ideas for upgrading the bnb even further and I cannot wait to visit him and Mary-Ann again.

Tip - Wagtail room has amazing view of the river stream, grade 2 listed Waterloo bridge and also the valley. If you would like an Indian twist to your scrambled eggs - do ask Sean for his special Egg Bhurji.

To improve - maybe the shower pressure could be a tad higher..really hard pressed to think of something though...

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Glyntwrog House with the wonderful Séan & Mary-Ann for 3 nights. This was my first time staying in Wales and my partners first visit back in about 20 years. We have had simply the best time and were so very well looked after that we didn’t want to leave.
If you are looking to stay somewhere homely with excellent conversation and incredible food then Glyntwrog House is the place to be.
Our room was spotless, we had fresh water everyday and little touches such as the local soap, the chocolates and Séan even made some delicious Welsh tea cakes to eat after a long day hiking in the Gwydir Forest.
We were provided with everything we needed to have a truly wonderful experience in Betws and we are already planning our next visit.
I cannot recommend this outstanding guesthouse enough!
Séan & Mary-Ann - thank you for making our visit so enjoyable. We look forward to coming again soon for some foraging adventures and more of your wonderful food and company ☺️☺️☺️

Stayed 2 nights at Glyntwrog House last weekend.
The hosts Sean and Mary-Ann were amazing. They try to look after you to the best of their ability.
Located 15min walk from the village centre, the B&B overlooks the River Conwy and Waterloo Bridge for a nice view during breakfast.

The breakfast was tasty and portion sizes were big. Room was clean and well kept. They even offer a tasty packed lunch which I devoured whilst scrambling in the hills of Snowdnoia.
On the day of departure, Sean drove to the train station to deliver my luggage which saved me the stress of returning to the B&B then trying to catch my train in time. Very helpful indeed! He even offered to drive me down to the bus station each morning!

Betws-y-Coed is a lovely quaint village that is an ideal location to stay if exploring the Glyderau, Snowdon Range, or Carneddau. Will definitely be back.

What a wonderful stay we had at Glyntwrog House! The location is wonderful and the house itself is beautiful. I made contact prior to our stay regarding accessibility and was provided with a prompt response detailing everything I needed to know.

We received a great welcome from Sean who showed us in, gave us some information about the house and the local area and some recommendations for dinner that evening.

We were in room 2 which was so cosy and comfortable. Sean and Mary-Ann have thought of everything and there are so many thoughtful touches to ensure you're warm and comfortable.

Everything was immaculately clean and the furniture quality and decor were to a very high standard. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows and linen were of a lovely quality.

We slept like logs, only to be awoken by the smell of the delicious breakfast emanating up the stairs! It was truly one of the most delicious breakfasts we have had - a particular mention must go to the delicious free range eggs, homemade potato rostis and sourdough toast.

If you are thinking of booking to stay here, call and speak to Sean or Mary-Ann directly as they are sure to make you as welcome as they made us. Thank you both so much, we will be back!
