Mattressman

In October 2017, I purchased with Mattressman a bed made by it's sister company British Bed Company. According to the sale it was covered by a five year warranty. It was a very comfortable mattress and was happy. The problem started when some of the springs failed, even when we rotated it regularly as was always covered with a feather topper. When we contacted Mattressman about the warranty, sending them a number of photographs. I called them and they said it with the manufacturer. It's been over four weeks and causing me back issues. Last call made, I requested a call back from a manager and nothing. It seems that they are happy to sell, but not happy to honour a warranty. I'm sad to say that I will not be using this company again and would not recommend anyone to do so.

Just an excellent experience from start to finish
We had to get a mattress as a matter of urgency for my elderly dad and the staff member ( sorry I don’t know his name ) was really helpful and patient with him choosing it . Ordered at 2 pm and it was delivered the next day . Perfect service all round

I am being generous giving this a one star because really it should be no stars. Spoke on the phone and ordered my bed frame, which seemed very straight forward then we bought the mattress again pretty straight forward. Then on the delivery day, only one part of the bed frame arrived with the box completely damaged and the mattress came also completely damaged with one corner being ripped where it had been draged, which also left a hole in the mattress, the next day the other half of the bed frame came in even worse condition then the first box. Absolutely appalling for such a company to allow this to even leave the warehouse and then the man on the phone said it must have been the delivery driver that done it.
The only good thing about this whole service was the lady who arranged our collection and our refund.

The only 2 good things: quality customer service from the main manager; quality of the bed frame we purchased. But, we didn't end up with the mattress we loved and wanted to buy. This is because Mattress Man use an incompetent delivery service called Panther, who are the most useless, lazy and unhelpful service people I think I've ever dealt with. Took away our existing mattress and refused to deliver the new one up the stairs saying it wouldn't fit. Won't use Mattress Man again, which is a shame because the product is good but Panther sucks. Went with Si.ba instead and we're very happy.

Staff knowledgeable friendly and attentive. They sell the renound "Premier Inn" beds- Hypnos. Soo comfortable. Waiting for delivery which is within a few days. Disposal available at a small charge, and all recycled which is amazing!

If you expect expertise and product knowledge when shopping then Gary Liddar is your man. I had so many questions and was very particular about the firmness I wanted for my mattress. I was very happy with the knowledge and experience demonstrated by Gary. He was patient, polite and did not stop to find the right mattress for me. It was a very pleasant shopping experience with him and I would definitely recommend him. Experienced, efficient and professional. Not may like that about these days.

If you want to experience what a proper salesman is like go to stevenage branch. Timely service, very friendly and informative. Does NOT steer you towards the most expensive bed and even suggested going back for a second test before deciding, which is exactly what we did and bought there and then. Gary Liddar an asset to the company thankyou.
