Bensons for Beds Stevenage

Having arranged or someone to install two large double width wardrobes they for whatever reason did not get on to the van for delivery - I was told by the driver as he made his way to deliver. Having had no call from Customer Service to explain, I tried calling late morning and gave after 20 minutes of hanging on. I then got a call at about 15:52 to say that there were stock and they would let me know when to expect the wardrobes. The next morning (Saturday) I got a call at 11.30 to say the wardrobes would be delivered between 2 & 3pm, fortunately we were home to receive them - I am now at a loss to understand a stock issue when I feel it was more like someone could not be bothered to check the lorry properly.
Being a lawyer I will be taking this up with Bensons with the help of my Litigation colleagues.

Leanne made sure I took my time to choose the right mattress for me and clearly explained all prices, delivery waiting times etc.

Really nice selection, very expensive for some beds /matresses and staff are kind and professional. They are not pushy at all, allowing you to browse in peace and look at things on your own. When asked questions they are highly knowledgeable answering queries in full.

Went into sort out some faulty furniture. The person in store was excellent and promised to ring me back. Two hours later had call back to ring helpline. The line is charged at a premium rate and after holding for some time the person I spoke to was useless. I will not shop here again which is a pity as its walkable from home

The Sales Manger, Ben, was absolutely amazing. Best sales experience I’ve ever had. He gave us all the information we needed to know, was friendly and courteous. Despite my wife and I having very different views and preferences, Ben allowed us to choose the perfect combination for us. All done without pushing us to making us feel we had to rush a decision. Ben was the reason we made the purchase (and we’re a returning customer, having purchased our last bed and mattress in 2013).

Last week I had a double mattress delivered fromStevenage store.
As it was discounted, the salesman said Benson's used private courier service and it would cost £45 cash payment (why cash???) to courier on delivery.
When the courier arrived he was on his own and said I had to help unload .... I only did we would of had nothing to sleep on .
I am not happy that I had to pay a higher delivery charge for this ' service'......I am a 65 year old lady who had to unload a double mattress from the delivery van !!
I should be offered a refund at the very least.
I await your response as email address is not receiving emails !

So very annoyed. Mum mum had just come out of hospital so I wanted a new bed at my house for her - was bad enough to wait for 4 weeks for delivery but mu mum liked the bed so we got it. Only a a day before delivery was due I was texted to say another 4 weeks. Disgusting. Really bad service, will never go bad and I would say AVOID!
