Bensons for Beds Chelmsford

The in store experience was very good. Stanley in the Chelmsford store was delightful, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Up to this point I was very impressed and we have ordered our chosen mattress. My one complaint however is that, two days later I tried to get answers to a minor query, the phones were not answered at the store, customer services took several minutes to get passed the automated button pressing and then after more time listening to music I was told by an automated American voice that I was number 97 (yes 97 not a typo) in the queue. This is not customer service. It is such a shame because people like Stanley, who was a perfect salesperson, deserves better backup from head office. I hope this does not bode ill for my forth coming delivery. Follow up on delivery. Never did receive my "2 hour time slot" phone call. Phoned shop - they couldn't help. Got a landline phone number for warehouse - waited for them to answer for 15 minutes. This girl was helpful. Eventually got a call from the driver who said " be with you in 10 minutes" Two rather grumpy gentlemen (loose term) delivered mattress. I asked them to take old mattress downstairs as a charity was collecting it soon. They said grumpily "not supposed to but we will" If they had been a bit more pleasant with maybe a smile or two they would have got a tip but their overall attitude made me think better of it. Some training in people skills wouldn't go amiss.

Sadly only 4 gliders and 2 bolts were delivered with the bed and therefore we have not been able to put the bed together. I tried to call customer services but was 47th in the queue so could not wait hours to speak to someone. I called the Chelmsford branch where I purchased the bed and told they would call me back and let me know if there were any gliders etc at the store. They did not call back so I had to call again. I do not think this is great customer service at all. I am now awaiting to see how long it takes for the missing parts to be sent to me. If I do not received them in the next few days I will be asking Benson for Beds to take their order back and I will request a refund. I hope this will not be the case.

Went in store to look at and buy a mattress. Denislava was very patient and not pushy and helped us choose the right bed for us. Would definitely recommend.

The lady I dealt with was really lovely. Very helpful and gave good advice. Thanks to her for her patience.

Great sales experience and a fantastic delivery, but one of the bed units is broken and needs replacing. This is looking to take a while so, we can't get the room arranged properly. Not a good overall experience that we could recommend.

Visited Bensons for beds in Chelmsford on Saturday 14th January.
The service was excellent, the choice of options was great and the guy dealing with us went to lengths to find a delivery date that met our needs. Great service -would recommend this store.

Staff member was professional and extremely helpful
I was kept updated on the delivery date and time with email and a text message.
The goods arrived on the allocated time and received a time slot 2 days before and a phone call 10 minutes before delivery
The delivery guys were prompt and polite and took the bed base mattress and headboard to the bedroom.
The bed is extremely comfortable and the headboard looks great.I am pleased with the purchase
