Great bike shop. I've used these guys to build two of my bike and a di2 install. A year on and no issues. Been back a few times for advice and they remembered my name. I live 20m away with a few other bikes shops in between.. You can't beat great service and quality.

Took by bike in before Christmas, explaining I've had issues with the gears. After a brief conversation with the assistant I was told they new what was needed and it would cost approximately £70. When returning to the shop I was shocked to be informed that I wss going to be charged £155, also that there had replaced the cables which I had already explained had been recently replaced.
After having the bike back, after a week I found that I was still having problems with gears and chain falling off.
I found the general attitude of the staff really quite rude, almost arrogant.

Would nit go back or recommend.

Excellent customer service as always. This has been my local bike shop since 2016 and they have always provided a 5 star service. Friendly staff, competitive prices and spot on mechanical support. Chapeau

What a truly awful shop and ethos towards customer service, I visited Fareham for the first time via train from Portsmouth but sadly near the end of my ride my tyre gave up and needed some love. I was presented with a very cold couldn't care less attitude by the staff, I wasn't in a huge rush I could have gone for a coffee but instead it was insisted it would be about £45 and I'd need to book it in and leave it with them. So I firmly turned them down and walked to the train and from there back home, today I took this in to a local shop to me, £35.00 for tire,tube,fitting and brake adjust labour and all completed in 40 mins.

Just a great example of why the highstreet is dying.

On the advice of the supplier (an online store), I booked my Cube Reaction in for a replacement bottom bracket, and was pleased when Solent Cycles (Fareham) had the correct one in stock. Ultimately, upon stripping down and cleaning the bottom bracket and chain set, they didn’t feel a replacement was necessary. This completely fixed the annoyance I’d had with the bike since purchased new in August, and saved me about £50 in the process. I thoroughly recommend Solent Cycles, for being friendly, courteous, professional, with first class customer service. Excellent!

Always a great local bike shop. Been using them for 20+ years. Nothing is too much trouble and they a hugely knowledge. Purchased an Endura 'Humvee' waterproof jacket.

I needed some advise about buying a bike for my 5YO boy. The chap on site took the time to talk me through some of the options and make a smart choice. I was very pleased with the service and my boy was very pleased with his bike.
I decided to by a new one for myself, as mine is 20 years old and now the boy is getting into it I am spending more time on a bike. Repeat performance for me - very helpful and knowledgeable in helping me make the right choices.
No fuss made when I booked it in for the 6 weeks services (offered free of charge with each new bike) despite it being closer to 3 months.

Called in to look at purchasing an expensive e-bike. I’d previously bought a good hybrid bike from their Lee-on-the-Solent store last year, and was inclined to purchase from one or other again, as local to me.
The Assistant was fairly helpful until I asked if I could sit on the bike I liked (in-store) to decide if that size was correct.
He bluntly told me “No, not unless you’re going to commit to buy it”’. I asked why, and he said “I’d have to disinfect it afterwards because of COVID, and that is time-consuming”.

Somewhat taken aback I asked what that meant for having a short test-ride. He said “No, we can’t do that, we have to sell it as new”. I asked if he really expected me to pay over £2k on something I’ve not tried, to be told “Yes, and offers will if you won’t”. !!

Their other store had done both things on my other bike. I left in frustration & amazement. Went on to two different chain stores locally instead, both couldn’t have been more helpful, allowing both a test sit, and test rides (of new bikes) without prior commitment!!

Sadly the Solent Cycles attitude lost my sale, my custom, and my recommendation. Crazy.
