If I could give less than 1 star I would. Worst service I’ve had in a long time in any store. After making 4 visits to the store, my bike is still not safe to ride without doing some adjustments myself.

1st visit - I was told they didn’t do inner tubes for my tyre size but then I found it on their website.

2nd visit - I suspected a slow puncture on my bike and asked the store attendant who was very disinterested to arrange a tube replacement. He categorically refused to do this and opted to do diagnostics instead. He claimed they couldn’t spare 5 mins to install the tube I had bought from their website as they were too busy. So I left my bike for the night.

3rd visit - Went to pick up my bike but was told everyone was on a lunch break and to come back later. I insisted on collection and finally a lady reluctantly went to get my bike. When my bike was returned, the inner tube was not fitted and the seat post had been adjusted to the maximum for attachment to a stand but was not reinstated. After adjusting the seat post I became suspicious of the workmanship and took the bike for a test ride in the car park and found both brakes were binding heavily after they adjusted it (Should have never left the workshop in the first place). I complained and left the bike for collection later.

4th visit - Finally collected my bike, front bakes no longer binding but rear brakes still binding. Front and rear brake levers almost touching handle on application. At this point I had lost all confidence in the store and left.

Please don’t waist your time or risk your safety by taking your bike to this store for repairs.

The customer service at this store was above par. The gentlemen in the store gave the very best advice and patiently guided us through the whole shop without being intrusive. They were not in our face, but always available when needed.

Extremely helpful service, rang from Zimbabwe what a nightmare i know... Lady at reception was extremely helpful in reassuring me that when I return to England they will be able to service my bike and get it back up and running absolute legends.

Great place went in to have a replacement inner tube fitted as the cycle had a puncture staff were excellent really helpful and friendly whilst waiting there had a look at a great selection of cycles 🚲 and I have selected a mens mountain bike which I like and will purchase.

Very expensive bicycle. In the shop on label show 50% discount, really discount just 20%.

Absolute legendary service. Went in a few weeks ago to check out bikes before cyclescheme took ages to produce my voucher (not Evans's fault). Popped back in today to order my bike and walked out of the store today with my new bike. The bike is perfect for me, thanks to the advice of the guys in the store. Got a £100 black Friday voucher (bonus) and had a great experience picking up my bike. Thanks Evans Lakeside. Will be going back to grab a bike for my boy!

Very poor service and I worked for the company for around 11years as the bike builder/mechanic i have now left as I can't stand the poor service/no stock/cant order parts for repairs since sports direct took over. i ordered items on 15th May the date is now 12/06/2021 with no update or phone call to update me on my order. Stock was available on 25th May, my store manager called on the 5th of June was told stock was available and that it was going to be picked, it is now the 12th still my order hasn't arrived. Jake at customer was useless. Couldn't even give me a eta. Eventually I was told what I ordered they didn't have the same and I had to either wait (didn't give me a time scale) so got a refund. Good luck on getting any major service work done at the lakeside branch now, they also want to charge you delivery to the store for your order and dont do price match anymore, servicing prices has gone up, the company is going down hill since sports direct took over.
