Great team!
I bought my first road bike with them, and they advised me very well.
I'm very happy to recommend them to anyone!
My last review:
As I stated before, there was no reason for me to not recommend the shop, they have a good variety of bicycles, I've chose an Orro Pyro Disc which I've been super pleased with, when I started I barely knew anything about road cycling and road bicycles. I've done the first service with the shop, that was free and there was no problems whatsoever.
Then with the frequent riding to work I realised the bicycle wasn't fitted properly and I went back to the shop to be bike fitted, where the stem was inverted and some other adjustments were made, wrongly. Paid £150 for a bad bicycle fitting service, as I said before, at this stage I barely knew anything so I just trusted what I was told by the shop staff.
After some research I found an article on a cycling magazine about this person called Giuseppe Giannecchini and after reading and talking to him I made an appointment to be bike fitted by him, first thing he done was to revert back the stem to the original position, it seems to be a common practice for people to revert the stem to make it higher giving the impression of a more natural position - wrong, I've told him about my concerns and how comfortable I was feeling and he made further adjustments, next day I was riding without any pain, definitely felt an improvement there straight away, that service was worth my money, and if I knew it I would have saved my £150.
Around the 26th of May 2017, after not riding for a few months I decided to have the bicycle serviced back here on Corridori, as service wise I never had a problem before. One of the things I said was to replace the rear breaking cable as there was already some visible wear at the end and I didn't want to take any risks of loosing it. I went to pick up the bicycle a few days later and I noticed that the rear cable wasn't replaced, I asked if it had been and they said no, it wasn't necessary. I found it a bit odd that I had said to replace it and it wasn't. Then I was also skeptical about the breaking power, there was none, but I didn't had the shoes to try it on and was on a hurry. A few days later I got the chance to try the bike and my suspicions were right, there was no breaking power. I send them an email complaining about this (which until today was never answered) and the next day (5th of June) I go to the shop first thing in the morning to get it fixed. I'm told the bicycle breaks are fine and it breaks fine, so I told them to try it out... the person goes for a spin and comes back saying that there's no breaking power - finally someone agrees with me, a few minutes later and a few fixes and it was finally breaking, I'm still skeptical cos I remember the bicycle breaking better but since I hadn't ridden for a while I thought to leave it be. I also mentioned once again about the rear cable and there was once again the answer that wasn't needed and if I replace it then I have to come back because the cable will stretch etc...
Well... I'm now in Sicily with my bicycle and let's just say that I'm not pleased with the condition of the cable, if it breaks in the wrong moment, in a descent with a tight bend (almost every other bend around here, in the middle of nowhere) then you know what can happen... I wouldn't trust a worn cable with my life, let's just put it that way.
So in terms of bicycle choice and staff friendliness I would rate the place 5 stars, in terms of bike servicing and bike fitting I would rate it a 2 stars. I think there's a lot to improve in attention to detail, and bike fitting is not really their thing even with all that laser gear. It all starts with choosing the right shoes and build from there, on your own bicycle, not the pseudo bicycle.
I'm sorry for the bad review, but as a customer I feel that I've gave you enough opportunities to redeem yourselves and I've spent a good amount of money in your shop, the last thing I want is to feel cheated.
Firstly my breaks were adjusted so tightly that they were unsafe to use.
Secondly, my bottom bracket was replaced and a few months later my crank came off mid way through a cycle as it was not re-fitted properly. It has now cost me a lot of money to repair the poor workmanship.
I have used Corridori since they were recommended to me by a good friend. I first went to them with a cracked carbon frame. They were able to provide me with a replacement frame and transferred the components from my old bike. The service and the price were excellent. In the period since I have purchased a wide variety of cycling accessories from them including peddles, shoes and clothing and I have just purchased a new bike. The staff at Corridori are knowledgeable and helpful and I have benefited from their expertise on a number of occasions.
