When I came in it was in the early afternoon and there were literally no other customers. Multiple staff walking around and chatting. No offers of help. Had to ask where the handlebar grips were. Was told "over there" with a vague gesture. When I asked for more specific location he just said "ya somewhere on that wall... I think". When I got to where he directed me, the grips were not located there. Had to ask another staff for help and he wasn't much more friendly either. They had only one pair of Mountain biking grips in the store and they were unbelievably overpriced. Lots of bikes in stock to choose from in all price ranges, so that was the only plus.

Technically good but a bit chaotic. Booked my bike in for a service - the technical quality of the service was good and I have no complaints as to the expertise of the mechanics. My bike rides brilliantly and the work was clearly carried out to a high standard. However, the processes around check in and collection were fairly shambolic culminating in them forgetting to replace my lights which I now have to go back and collect!

Tried to call in advance but no one picked up. Came in anyway to try and get my bike serviced. Was left waiting at the workshop counter for a long time and was completely ignored and then when I did explain my situation was just told they were full and I should book online. This in itself is no problem, but the customer service skills of the staff every time I visit this particular store have a long way to go. Would recommend another branch.

Definitely understand now why the rating is so low. The staff changed so much compared to 5 years ago when I first bought my bike. The store manager is so rude. Acknowledged my presence with a node. He did not even talk. He should be preparing the bikes and not talk to clients. No wonder why all staff is so bad with a management like this. The other manager is slightly better, but I rather avoid both of them entirely. I do not even want to do my free service as they are so unfriendly.

Massive thanks to Max who was incredibly helpful on the weekend. I took my bike in as I couldn't quite work out what had gone wrong with the seat adjuster. Couldn't be more thrilled and grateful for the help he gave me with both that and sorting out other bits of the bike with me - will definitely be going back to Evans for anything I need to get for my bike in the future. Thanks Max!

Had my bike serviced while in town on holiday and wish my hometown bike shop staff was as helpful. Adam was knowledgeable and incredibly patient with me as I considered different upgrade options. The store was tidy and everything I ended up needing was in stock.
Will be returning here on my next trip and hoping Adam is still at this location!

Great experience at this shop today 👍 the team was great - especially Marcin who was kind, professional & generous with his time ! Tightened my loose break & even gave me a sterile wipe for my scrape after coming off my bike this morning.

Would highly recommend, and return.

We recently bought a bike from that store and their team was really helpful, they allowed us to try the bike in-store before purchase and they allowed us all the time needed to ask questions. They provided us with relevant advice.
I would totally recommend that store to anyone who is looking for a bike and has many beginner level questions as the team has the knowledge and the patience to help you with your queries.
