First ever experience with Ranelagh Cycles.Had 2 bicycles repaired and serviced by them this week - now both good as new. Really pleased with their service.
After being blown off by the arrogant customer service from my usual bike shop across town which I had used for several years, I decided to contact Ranelagh Cycles to see if they could help. So glad I did. Right the way from the first phone call their attitude was friendly and professional. Bikes were done and ready to collect within a few days - I would have been happy to wait a lot longer in the current climate. Reasonable price as well I thought, considering the bikes hadn’t been used in a while. Brilliant service. Will certainly use them again in the future and will recommend them to friends and family.
Thank you team, keep up the good work.

Went into to the store today in search of a mountain bike.

Budget was in between £100 - £200, managed to find a quality Mountain bike within my budget and needs.

The service was great, was shown around the shop the floor & different range of bikes they have. Of course due to the pandemic they’ve got some limited stock but that’s the case everywhere.

What’s also great is that, they have taken some great measures within the store and allow a couple people in at once.

If you’re looking for a bike, make sure to check this place out!

Unfortunately I found the staff rude and unhelpful. I went to this business first as it is an independent and I wanted to support them.
I was told bluntly that they could offer no advice unless I was buying a bike from them- that was their opening response to my initial request for help.
I also noticed most bikes had no price displayed on them which was not reassuring.
After picking up a couple of spares I needed, I left and ended up purchasing a bike that day from another store on the other side of town.
Sad and off-putting and they lost a customer; not what I was expecting from a well established independent retailer.

Very unhelpful, and miserable. Went in for brake fluid and asked the gentlemen for some and he went “and?” I said I need to bleed my brakes so I need some brake fluid. His response “there’s two types you need to know what one!” In a stern tone. Needless to say I walked out and didn’t purchase anything and will not bother to return. I’d rather pay more from Halfords than return to him. Shame as I’d much rather support a smaller local business.

They got my parts wrong, so had to return to exchange for correct parts. No apology at all.
Grumpy and offish staff. Especially Chris.
Avoid if you like good service with a smile...!

Good selection of mid-range bikes and very knowledgeable mechanics. Good for family bikes.

Was on a longish bike ride from Cambridge to Suffolk coast when got puncture. Contacted the shop to see if I came by, they could replace the tube. Extremely helpful both on phone and when I got to the shop. Traditional cycle shop with lots of interesting bikes for sale. Team know their stuff.
