Called to check stock on one bike and sadly it was not available (as with everywhere else I tried); however, Dan then called back to let me know about another similar model that he did have in stock! Given how hard it is to find available bikes at the moment, this was very much appreciated! Dan held it until I could come to take a look over lunchtime. Dan was very knowledgable, professional and polite - he already had the sale but still gave a set of free pedals to sweeten the deal! Great service - highly recommended.

I had a problem with a used bike I'd just brought- seized pedals. Rang to see if I could get some advice and amazingly was told to go straight in and he would look at it for me. Within a minute or two the pedals were off and - no charge! I didnt think service like this existed any more. Thank you so much and not only will I be back but I will also let all of my cycling friends know.

Having had problems with a previous bike fit from another shop I contacted Dan who has identified the problem which he is putting right plus also some great advice on shoes and saddles I’m glad I’ve found the gem of a shop will use for serving and repairs and advice thanks Dan

Popped in while out riding to get my gear alignment checked as it had some rubbing.

Dan and his wife where very welcoming (despite me being late) my bike was looked at straight the way and within a few minutes Dan brought my bike back out ready to go.

There was no charge for this work and despite it only taking a minute or so this is something that I would of expected a charge for. When I got back out riding it was like new again, thank you both very much and I will defiantly be returning and recommending to others.

It’s hard to find good, independent cycle shops, this is one to add to the list!

Great afternoon with Dan having a bike fit and attending his bike maintenance course, i fully recommend both. I am confident that his attention to detail and tweaks to my bike and footwear, will improve my performance, reduce, the numbness in my hands, the pains in my right thigh and prevent me sitting too rigid on my bike. The maintenance course was really informative with great ideas and tips to keep your bike in good order and get you home safely when things go wrong. Good old fashion local business customer service, not like the big franchise outlets when you feel like just another number.. Thanks again Dan.

Having come highly recommended, we visited Dan to get bikes for the kids. So glad we did - great advice, no question too complicated or daft and a huge amount of patience shown as the kids ummed and ahhed over colours. Definitely be back for bikes for us at some point in the summer. In the meantime, I'd encourage everyone to shop local and at the independents. The expert advice is just invaluable.

I used Dan who owns BVC for my bike maintenance when he used to run his mobile mechanic service. I read his website offering excellent service and good reviews on Google and as I knew him from maintaining my bikes and those of friends of mine knew I could trust him. I wanted a specific e-bike in very high demand and approached BVC to see if they could source one for me, as it turned out there was only two left in the whole country and Dan ordered one for me . When the bike arrived Dan had to sort out an issue the factory had overlooked and made the necessary adjustments efficiently and timely. I have now used the bike and I am delighted I chose Dan at BVC and would recommend his bike shop unreservedly. Dan is a good guy running a proper independent bike shop that can rival the big chains for supplying bikes and beating them for quality of service and care.
