The Bike Shop Wales, Penarth.

One of my projects for the summer was to bring back to working order my wife's 'vintage' mountain bike - which we bought new in 1989 - but which had been languishing in the garage for the past 15 years. The bike is a Raleigh Technium Chill.
I stripped the frame down myself but then got the Bike Shop Wales in Penarth involved for help with replacement components and, after little hesitation, on the rebuild - once the frame had been resprayed.

Lee at The Bike Shop Wales is a real bike enthusiast - very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly - he and his staff took the repainted frame and rebuilt the bike (swapping any old, unusable components for best option replacements). They replaced the bottom bracket and headset and most of the drivetrain. Finally they serviced the bike so it runs as sweetly as it did in 1989!

We are very thrilled with the end-result a big thanks to Lee and his team for their care and attention to detail.

After ringing my crank arm as seen in the pictures, these guys re threaded it I couldn’t thank them enough great work it’s not even noticeable and it road great the next day. Would highly recommend any work you need on your bike take it to these people.

I do most of my bike maintenance myself so only need help from a bike shop for complicated stuff (ie wheel building, bottom bracket rethreading, etc). The guys at this place are excellent, not the cheapest but certainly know their stuff and are always accommodating.

Would definitely recommend, they serviced my bike the same day and replaced a couple parts - using second hand replacements to keep the cost and waste down. Friendly, efficient and my bike is running much better now. I'll definitely be back for a service again - thanks!
