Onboard Charters

We booked, and turned up for a one hour private rib experience for 10 people for a 40th birthday do. We had travelled down from London. On arriving we were a bit early, and we're told to come back nearer our booked time (13:30 on a Saturday).

We returned on time, and was kitted up straight away with life jackets. All good.

It was at this point we were told our skipper was delayed, but he should be with us soon. They weren't sure the exact length of the delay.

After waiting for over half an hour we contacted the manager/owner (Kevin) who was extremely unhelpful and rude on the phone. He said he couldn't do anything or provide anything further, including information.

We were left just waiting in direct sunlight for a skipper who may or may not turn up

Eventually at 14:34 the skipper showed up, over an hour late. No apology. Just said traffic was bad.

We were seriously frustrated before we even started our experience. On asking the skipper, he was under the impression our booking was at 14:00.

The skipper took us out on the water but brought us back by 15:12, as he had another group who had been waiting 15 minutes. What about our hour delay? And how come we spent only about half hour for ah hour booking on the water.

We complained and eventually the skipper said he would talk to Kevin (owner?) about taking us out again after the other group. He did this, and it was agreed, and did happen. We were grateful for this.

The fun experience on the water was great.

But the whole overall experience was seriously impacted by terrible customer service, and communication.

If you are looking for a rib experience, don't take the chance, look elsewhere.

Brilliant rib ride, expertly driven by Tim, highly recommended, we didn't want the trip to end.

Had a brilliant ride around the Solent Forts and the site of the Mary Rose shipwreck. Would definitely go again!

Fantastic way to see the Solent, Isle of Wight. Skipper managed our nervous passenger really well!

Great time on the Solent Kevin was a brilliant Skipper and guide, just wish I knew how unfit I was to board and disembark the rib. 🙄🙄

Great time on the Solent with Onboard Ribs. Explored the Solent forts, and the coast of the IOW. Observed new aircraft carrier leaving the docks too. Easy to book and great prices.

We had a great 45 minute trip yesterday with our 2 kids (age 7 & 9). We were well looked after and our knowledgeable captain made sure the kids were happy throughout.
Highly recommend, it was great fun and interesting. Be prepared that you will get a bit wet from the spray though!

Great fun. Ollie was our captain and even my partner who is not good with the sea enjoyed it and would do it again
