Beautiful place to walk or take a boat ride. There's a lovely little cafe and toilet facilities especially for children.

Excellent captain, the River chelmer is a nice quiet river , The 40ft narrow boat only carrys12 Passengers at a time so not crowded and you can stand with the captain for a better view . Well worth the trip ..! (Photos at paper Mill lock waiting for the boat to arrive)

Very disappointed, booked a boat trip for 12 pm and lady came over and told us that they made the mistake of booking us in for 1. After, we went to get a refund and they told us even if we did wait for the boat trip at 1 there wasn’t one, therefore we would have to wait for a boat trip at 2! I was very unsatisfied considering we had to travel 1 hour to get there and pay 5 pound for parking. Customer service absolutely appalling, don’t recommend.

Great boat trip but it gets really busy and the cafe is small, often overwhelmed, very pricy and the food is average at best. The staff, however, are lovely.

We paid and book a trip with our granddaughters and 15 minutes before our book time they called to cancel. We had 2 very disappointed girls

Thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing and picturesque 3 hour cruise for 12. The crew were excellent, very welcoming and professional and left you alone to enjoy the entire trip in private.
The boat itself was lovely - clean and comfy with plenty of space for us all, and it had both a toilet and a kitchen area.
The light lunch food package was good value too, fresh and tasty sandwiches and gorgeous desserts with enough options to please anyone. They even provided gluten free options for a couple of us.
Normally we'd have all gone out for a meal together but at less than half the cost per head and twice the overall enjoyment had this was a much better option. Perfect day, many thanks.
