Not only do Village books source and get hold of books for the next day, they offer expert insights into novels. I can't thank them enough for recommending Hamnet by Maggie O'Farrell. It is possibly the best told story in years! We are lucky to have this excellent bookshop.

Very helpful staff. They didn't have the book in stock that I wanted but they ordered it and got it in the next day. They also have cards and wrapping paper. Lovely local shop.

Much loved local bookshop run by the delightful and ever-obliging Hazel. Don't be put off by the shop's small footprint: it stocks a surprising range and is happy to order on demand

Village Books is literally a Dulwich institution. It's a community hub and takes the book browsing experience to another level. In particular, it's a great place to go if you have kids and are looking for their next read.

Good range of books and cards. Could do with more science fiction. Friendly staff and they have a photo board of dogs that have visited.

I like this store. I email them with orders, and they respond quickly and politely, and usually have the book ready for pickup within 2 days.

Sheer delight! Rarely come out empty handed. Staff are insightful and helpful. Lots of signed copies too which make for lovely presents.
