Palas Print

We have visited this bookshop during each of our stays in North Wales. It is a sheer delight. A wide range of thought provoking titles is available, along with a genuinely brilliant children's section. The woman who helped us was so friendly and vastly informative about the work of independent booksellers, as well as providing us with lovely insights into Welsh culture and language. Her recommendation of two titles to our children were just spot on, and we left Palas Print with titles for them and for ourselves. Palas Print makes an excellent argument for the indispensable worth of independent bookshops.

The space just FEELS good. I could spend hours in there. Lots to choose from but not overwhelming, not crammed. LOTS of local literature, in English too. Easy enough to just wander in and spot a good book to leave with. Some quality postcards and a great kids'section. Once staff ask you if you need anything, if you don't, there's no pressure to buy or leave (I made a purchase on my 2nd visit there only). I'd make this a regular stop in Caernarfon if I lived there!

My daughter who loves reading just had the most amazing experience in this shop!

An excellent independent bookshop in Caernarfon. They have a good selection of fiction and factual books available in store and if the book you're after isn't there then they will order it for you. There's also a fine selection of local interest and llyfrau cymraeg. The people who run it are enthusiastic and knowledgeable and if you're looking for a good read they are happy to recommend. There's also a good section of books for children.
If you like books then this is the place to go.

First class book shop in the heart of Caernarfon . The lady there was both kind and knowledgeable. Let us all support independent booksellers. I cannot recommend this shop too highly.

Love this gem of a bookstore! Far better options than nearby bookstores and supermarkets. Good range of genres and it's clear stock are updated frequently. Customer service is personal and friendly too. A real asset to Caernarfon.
