Similar to the Rolling Bridge; they should try to make it roll down (or up) at night, for the many restaurants and coffee shops to benefit from increased footfall.

Cool engineering, and great mediterranean feel, with water features and modern landscaped decking. Fan bridge and sister smaller "snail" bridge are opened around midday every Wed, Fri and Sat, worth seeing, loads of places to eat nearby in Praed St, including halal Subway!

Beautiful experience watching the bridge opening up as a fan. Couldn't imagine the walking ramp would open up like that. Wonderful technology!!
