This place is lovely, good size car park only £2 for the day. The scenery is beautiful, little streams running down the hills and little caves, which the kids loved. Bit of a climb to the top of the viaduct but once up there the scenery is amazing. Could see the dam which will be going back another day to see. Highly recommend a visit if your in Devon.

We got train to Okehampton and walked, a good cycle or walking track. Good views at viaduct.

Easy walk along the granite way from Okehampton station. Just about 50 mins on mostly flat tarmac footpath. Approximately 5 miles round trip back to the station. There are views of the Meldon reservoir dam and quarry.

Beautiful views and a great walk. I've walked a lot of viaducts but this is the first iron/steal construction. Did not disapoint

We had a nice walk across Meldon Dam and then we walked passed a lovely rapid flowing section of water. We then walked across the viaduct for some spectacular views. Car Park by the Dam is reasonable price and it has free toilets too.

Lovely walks across and around the viaduct. Paths around the viaduct can be a bit tricky and loose underfoot. Such beautiful scenery and views. Dog friendly and well worth a visit.

Meldon Viaduct can be reached from the nearby car park at Meldon Reservoir. The viaduct is now part of the national cycle network and is in an area of outstanding beauty and on the edge of Dartmoor national park. The area is well signposted through out and there are walks of varying degrees of difficulty. You can easily spend a good day exploring the area, definitely worth a visit to see a piece of history. Just a shame the rail line near the viaduct seems to be lacking in preservation as the viaduct is. As always take a map if exploring the area and please leave the area as you find it.

Walked along the Granite Way to the Meldon Viaduct. We'll worth a visit as the structure to the Viaduct is a sight to behold. The work and height leads to how did they accomplish this as none looks pre-fabricated. Walk there was pleasant, paved track and suitable for all abilities. Could also hire a cycle it you wanted.
