Staines Bridge

Staines Bridge lacks the grandeur of its easterly cousin bridges but is still worth a visit. Supports local residents and visitors crossing the water.

River is much lower now than in the picture and flow is minimal.

This is quite simply the most stunning bridge I’ve seen in the 27 years of my life.

I made an unintentional visit to Staines upon Thames after planning to come down to the local area to visit Thorpe Park. Was I disappointed? Absolutely not.

A stones throw away from the bridge you’ll find a magnificent sculpture of what I believe was a pelican or some other species of seabird. A great place for a couple of tinnies in the sun if I do say so myself.

I cannot recommend this bridge enough. It’s by far the best route you can possibly take from the town centre to the iconic Swan Hotel. A real Instagram worthy location for all of you influencers out there.
