Popped in on the off chance for a drink and a bit of lunch. I must say it didn't disappoint. Quite a small menu but enough choice still. Food quality was excellent. Middle range prices.i tried chefs special starter black pudding scotch egg and just a burger and chips I must say Absolutely delicious. Friendly staff is always nice. I would definitely recommend 👌

On the way back to the holiday flat, we passed by here, it looked nice, and spontaneously held off for dinner.
Although there was nothing going on, we were told it was fully booked. But we could sit outside and order ourselves at the counter. When it got uncomfortable outside, we asked again if we could come in. There were still many tables free. We couldn't go into the restaurant, but at least we could sit next to the bar. Even when we left after one and a half hours, only a few tables were occupied...however.... The service was very friendly and the food was good. In addition, the mill has flair.

I love these old mills! Beautiful view, quaint English decor including the cutest sail boat and swans. Food fare inventive. Loved it.

Good food and good service. The service was leisurely, which suited us, staff were attentive but not too intrusive. Main meals could have been served a bit quicker but we were in no hurry. Only negative and reason for not 5 stars was poor advice about the curry, we asked how hot it was and were advised it was very mild, like a korma. It wasn't mild and one of our party couldn't eat it. But the manager replaced her meal unprompted. They also brought cream to cool down the other curry if required. The replacement main arrived quickly. We couldn't have asked for better service.

It always a fantastic experience here. The waiting staff are always so welcoming and friendly and on a human level too, which is wonderful! There's always seating available and I find the pub to be large, yet cosy and warm. We tried the new lunch menu and we couldn't fault it. The artichoke soup was delicious and I also had the slow roasted autumn squash & sage ravioli and it was absolutely superb! Props to the chef for making those. A friend also had the steak and London pride suet pudding which he said tasted fantastic and couldn't fault it. We always leave a tip here as the atmosphere, quality of food and staff friendliness make this place go above and beyond other local establishments, thank you as always!

Came for lunch yesterday. Ordered a couple of tasty sounding sandwiches. Haddock fingers for her, prawn and crayfish for me. I felt sorry for the scabby piece of haddock tail.. It looked so lonely on it's huge island of bread and lettuce, with no other finger friends, maybe they deserted it because of the overly fishy smell it emitted? (....Ever made a Marie rose sauce? Mayo, ketchup and squeeze of lemon juice. Usually pretty tasty. Why the chef went to such lengths to remove as much flavour as possible from this simple sauce is beyond my comprehension. Bland tasteless, overpriced food. Plenty of staff, but not one was clearing tables and cleaning the filthy tables.

Excellent food, attentive service and a beautiful location - what more can you ask? As it was a Sunday, the menu offered a choice of Sunday Roasts.
Now I have an intolerance to potato (a real nuisance) so I asked if there were any alternatives to the roasties? No problem, a plate of sweet potato fries appeared with this delicious meal. And the beer? HSB - heaven. I forgot to take a picture of the enormous bowl of fries that came with the meal, but here is the meal and view from our table. Can't wait to go back.

A great breakfast on a recent Saturday morning.
Good quality food and a lovely atmosphere.
Open fires in both the bar area and the restaurant. Throughout the barn were Christmas decorations and there is a good view out over the waterfront.
Plenty of outdoor seating too and ample parking.
Breakfast isn’t that well advertised so worth seeking out.
Pleasant staff and tasty food in a lovely location, you can’t ask for much more.
