Popped in for lunch last week and it didn’t disappoint not shine. Reliable food and friendly staff. Photos of the starter only I forgot bro add the main

It may not rock your palate boat but it is a good place to eat.

In the summer they have a pergola area which is really nice and it is an easy entranced for the boat tours.

Lovely building and great interesting interior decor with a rear garden looking over the canal. Great spot for sure when you really want to soak up Canterbury. The menu also matched, with traditional British cuisine of roasts, pies and fish and chips. Food wise was okay, both dishes of boil seafood and Steak and Kidney pie was a bit weak, I mean look at my pie, where is the rest of the puff pastry, and then trying to pass this off as.. never mind. Taste wise, not exciting. To me, it's a let down in service and quality. Overall decent, would recommend just for the experience.

Lovely place with a beautiful decor. The staff was very friendly and the food was incredible! Food was filling and worth the price. Definitely recommend coming here for food.

Probably one of the most atmospheric restaurants I've been to in Canterbury. Their pies+chips are very good and the best thing on their menu in my opinion. We did find the desserts to be a little lacking for the price (the crumble was a very fine layer on the plate). But the staff are very attentive and the place is kept clean. Just watch your head when you walk in

I have been meaning to write this review for some time. My husband, my mother and I went to Weavers on Christmas Day. We were most impressed with the choice of menu, the food which was all homemade vegetables etc and was delicious and the staff who were efficient, helpful and extremely friendly. Ali, who is the manager is very friendly and attentive. We love this restaurant anyway but was so pleased that we chose this restaurant for our Christmas Day lunch. We will of course be back.

Lovely atmosphere but a let down - the girl who served us just couldn't be bothered with us. Not a single smile, rolling her eyes.

Place is saving from heating using some really weak portable heaters here and there so all visitors had jackets on. Not very cosy when you've come from the cold outside.

Decent soup and fries but a let down in terms of service. For one of the oldest places in Canterbury with so much history, it should really be manned better.

Came down to Canterbury on a lovely sunny day and stopped for lunch here. It's a good location right next to the stour and the boat tours. Worth a visit just for the fact you sit under a canopy of vines with hanging grapes. My friend was looking forward to trying their pie but the vegetarian pie was a complete letdown unfortunately. My seafood dish was good as was the portion size . The highlight was pimm's cocktail though, it was excellent. Service was very good too!

Lovely atmosphere, very quaint with lots of decoration, gives it a lot of character! Service was okay, very mediocre and we waited nearly 40minutes for our food. Would have been nice to be updated by the waiter but the scenery and atmosphere made up for it. Food was delicious too, would recommend! Ordered the nut roast and a lamb and rosemary pie 😋
