A fantastic meal, excellent value for money, do not expect a plastic carvery experience. Could not recommend highly enough.

Been going here my whole life with my family (that's too many times to count!) and never been let down by the delicious home cooked food. There are set Lunch, High Tea and Dinner menus, all tradition English fayre which is incredibly good value for money. No alcoholic drinks available but there is no fee to bring your own drinks (including bringing soft drinks). The restaurant is in beautiful low beamed ceiling cottage house with a wonderful, warm rural atmosphere.

We have been visiting for over 30years and the food is as consistent, traditional and delicious as always. It never varies, home cooked and excellent and we love the people there and the cottage itself. It's like going back in time and your batteries are recharged after a visit. Wonderful and love it.

Lovely cottage old cottage, a hidden gem this one. It has traditional fayre, roast beef, lamb, chicken, duck and poached salmon, no vegetarian option. 5 courses for £18.95, bring your own booze, cash only. But, lovely food, service and oldy worldly surroundings. Will definitely go again.

Lovely home made food served piping hot and not rushed. And very reasonable price. Take your own drink.

Good old-fashioned food that your mum used to make. Unusual place with nice cosy rooms with open fires in the cold weather.

We have been visiting the Cottage since 1970, and the quality of the food and
service has never wavered. Excellent.
