Nice big breakfast, all hot and quite tasty. Good enough coffee, too!

Breakfast served beautifully, presentation on the pancakes was amazing, they were lovely and fluffy and fruit zingy.

The traditional breakfast was great, I wasn’t a fan of the tomatoes and mushrooms it came with on the menu so the staff member happily suggested substituting for more sausage for no extra cost. Great choice as well because the cumberland sausage is to die for, egg yolks cooked to perfection along side the bacon and the sourdough bread was on another level.

The fresh juices they offer are a steal for the quality, complete burst of flavour in your mouth and the same goes for the coffee which is served in a cute glass!

Perfect breakfast before our little one’s arrival!

Will definitely be returning!

Very nice staff. Got free water as soon as seated but may be due to the heatwave.
Very yummy and filling food!

We had a table booked for 10. We got good service on a hectic Saturday afternoon. Food was amazing from the eggs benedict, seabass, halloumi shawarmi to the classic burger.
Classic burger - tea and profiteroles - passionfruit spritzer - lemon drizzle g&t

Disappointing visit. Went for breakfast on a rare girls day with my daughter. There was no one in the top area so we walked downstairs to the bar area as that's where my daughter wished to sit. We were told we couldn't sit there and to go back upstairs where someone would seat us. I advised there was no-one upstairs and got short thrift about someone being on their way. Back upstairs and we were told we couldn't sit in a booth as it was reserved - but had no reserved sign on and none one used the booth for the 40 minutes I was there. We were also refused to sit at a table of 4 'just in case some more people came in' and had no choice but to sit where we didn't want to, under the air con and getting the draft from the main door which was open. The service was poor to start with but thawed after I ordered. I got the feeling they thought I was there for the kids eat free thing and decided to be nicer when I ordered two items of the usual menu. I used to love Bill's in Reading and had been looking forward to going again so this experience was a big disappointment. This one definitely doesn't have the same vibe as the Reading one. On the plus side, once thawed the staff seemed quite nice and attempted to be chatty but it was just a little too late by then sadly On a plus side, the food was very good. Pancakes looked great and my halloumi and poached eggs was super. I wouldn't recommend this Bill's though and wish we had gone somewhere else.

Came here with my cousin while waiting for our friends to finish their marathon.

Really nice looking restaurant with lovely staff.

Me and my cousin both had bill breakfast brunch, it was really nice, with them we had a latte and a tea, bit gutted they didn't have different syrups for the lattes like caramel etc.

Food was a little bit pricey but it was a nice breakfast though.

Definitely worth a visit if your looking for something to eat.

Didn’t plan on eating here in particular, we just happened to come across the place. So glad we did! The staff were very friendly and took our temperatures before we were seated. They were friendly, welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us, what a credit to the business!
Myself and a friend ordered starts and mains - mine are pictured. Well the food was fantastic and reasonably priced for the high quality we received. Naturally we both ordered dessert out of pure gluttony because the food was so good. Honestly, next time I visit Durham I will be going here for food before trying anywhere else. Thank you to all the staff there! 10/10.
