The Emperor

We visited on a Saturday, early evening. Despite the pub not being overly busy, the staff seemed rushed. Our pint of Bitter was thrust across the bar at us, spilling in the process, leaving us with a wet sticky glass before we'd even sat down. The menu is fairly compact but generally with something for every taste. Our food arrived at the table after around 20 minutes but the pasta dish was barely warm. This is purely my opinion but I think it might have been left on the side until the Burger was also ready so they could be served together. A little salad on the side would have been most welcome also. The pub itself has a warm, friendly feel to it, with a large peaceful Garden and ample off road parking is provided.
We will be back for drinks but sadly not for the food.

Very nice country lane pub. Pints are spot on. Beer garden has various seating options. Perfect for a few quiet drinks

Buffet party. Lovely pub with log fire and mix of different types of seating. Great staff.

Lovely old style feel to the pub , friendly welcome , good choice of drinks particularly beer and real ales. Not the cheapest pub though. Would visit again.

Update: visited again saturday 17th December 2022 for a family meal, I thought staff were even more standoffish. Shocking food somewhat inedible, meal sent back no apology whatsoever, just another plate of rubbish served expensive overpriced slop served, customer service lacking all round, table booked for 2.30, weren't served our starters until approx 4pm, then rushed through the other courses because they had another party booked for 7pm so handed out desserts and basically told to get out. Would never recommend to anybody, and wont return, doesnt deserve 1 star but unfortunately zero or minus zero stars not and option
