Very nice historical hotel. The longest terracotta bar in the whole Commonwealth. Beautiful.
So helpful and nice staff. They will help you with everything. We had to eat breakfast before the opening the kitchen, they managed it.
Thank you very much for your kindness.
I strongly recommend this place.

My friends stayed at the hotel here about 8 years ago and I met them for dinner at the hotel's restaurant. Being totally honest, from the outside this hotel doesn't look much but by god is the food some of the best that I've tasted! The quaint grade 2 listed hotel has got the most beautiful original features and it's like stepping back in time when you go in there (it reminds me of the beautiful Crown and liquor bar in Belfast) it's so nice that it has been keep like this as I think it really adds to the ambiance and atmosphere. I loved it. Friendly staff, great food, beautiful original features. Highly recommend this little gem of place in Newport and I'll be going back very soon

Absolutely outstanding! Booked a stay through an external source and have to say, I'm impressed!

The facilities are good, definitely one of the better hotels I've been to. There's an old school vibe through the whole building, which is really appealing.

The position of the hotel is great - a 10 minutes walk and you're in Newport Town centre! Located no more than 10 minutes off of the M4 and with parking out the back, it makes for a great locality. Although based on a reasonably busy road, it's still not overly bad!

The hospitality and customer service is absolutely top notch - I can say that rest assured, I will be coming back to visit again soon!

Characterful hotel. A bit dated, but probably in keeping with the building period. The TV in the room was a very poor grainy picture and only had few channels. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
The 4 poster bed was very comfortable.
The full english breakfast was the best I've ever had in a hotel!
The bath dud seem to fill up when we were showering, so possibly needs an unblock!

Booked through work. Owner is a very pleasant, understanding and professsional person.
Rooms are clean, comfortable and shower room perfect.

The owner cares for guest experience and is always chatting to the guests ensuring a warm stay.

Credit where it is due. Thank you

Magnificent old listed buildings, at the heart of the community.
Unfortunately, it isn't offering the high quality food now, but the bar is still accessible.
